In the boundless dance of existence, there come moments when the veil between the known and the unknown lifts, revealing the mysteries that lie beyond. On today's episode, we welcome the captivating Lura Ketchledge, who takes us on a journey through her extraordinary near-death experience (NDE). Lura Ketchledge's narrative is a compelling testament to the profound transformations that can emerge from crossing the threshold of life and death.
Lura's life before her NDE was a whirlwind of youthful exuberance and exploration. At 19, she was navigating the vibrant social scene of Washington D.C., juggling jobs, relationships, and the occasional horseback riding adventure. Raised with Judeo-Christian values by her Presbyterian minister grandfather, she had a foundation in spirituality, yet she harbored doubts about organized religion. This skepticism set the stage for the profound spiritual awakening that was to come.
On a sunny day that seemed perfect for horseback riding, Lura's life took a dramatic turn. As she raced a horse back to the barn, she was thrown off with such force that her body went one way and her soul another. "I went off like a bottle rocket off that horse and I never hit the ground. I never felt the impact because my body literally went one way and my soul went another," she recalls. Plunged into a dark tunnel at a high speed, she was acutely aware of her separation from her physical form and knew she was dead.
In this disorienting tunnel, Lura experienced a gamut of emotions-from profound sadness to self-recrimination for the choices that led her there. But then came the light, and with it, her grandfather, no longer ravaged by cancer but healthy and vibrant. The reunion with her grandfather was a moment of immense joy, overshadowing even the strangeness of her situation. However, this joy was tempered by the subsequent life review, a common feature in NDEs, where she was shown the impact of her actions on others, both good and bad.
Please enjoy my conversation with Lura Ketchledge.

It’s my dad’s birthday today, he was born in 1912 or 1913, not sure because the building where the birth records were kept burned down. He passed away in 1994 on Dec. 7th, Pearl Harbor day. He was 55 years old when I was born the youngest of 14 children (he was 82 at the time). At the moment of his death he appeared in a vortex in my living room wall (by the Christmas tree) as a young man, that I didn’t recognize, and said , “ don’t worry, everything’s going to be alright”. Two days later I was contacted in person about his passing. He had lost his left arm in an auto accident at age 29, in the vision/visitation he was young, whole and happy. I’ve heard her story before and it resonates as very true to me. Peace

3 years ago my son overdosed. Thank God for the police and someone who made the 911 call,he was brought back to life with narcan. In the hospital, he was also in a great deal of pain and heaviness and sadness. In his brief visit on the other side, he was with his grandmother's and grandfather's, and ALL of the pets he had in his life (including a snake and a rat. ) He felt such joy and love and belonging, and was so angry with the nurse at the hospital. He kept crying that he was taken away from home and love. While his experience was good, i worry about him falling off of that edge again. my son is 36,and is an extremely sensitive soul. When he was 8 he was spending the night with my mother an hour away, yet my husband saw him walking in our hallway. He told us the next day that he came back looking for us in his dream ,and that he had also gone to the mall to look around but all of the stores were closed!

Regarding experiencing what others felt due to my actions OR lack of actions, I've been experiencing just that since my late 50's & it has slowly intensified over the years. Now, at 78, I've realized that with the deep pain of this awareness, remorse & regret, also came great understanding, acceptance & forgiveness. We often hear & I've said: "If only I could do it over." But the thing is it wouldn't be different, due to my state of mind w/each incident. All I can do is own it, admit my hurtful behavior to the people I'd harmed & sincerely apologize w/ the understanding of the pain & ramifications it may have caused. I've often thought that I'm going through my life review before leaving my body 🤷

In many of the NDE accounts people explain that we/our soul chooses different lives, even if to experience hardship, pain, difficulties, which sort of makes sense. Whatever we really are on the other side it seems like we are extremely curious about experiences and interactions with each other with the goal of becoming compassionate, loving and kind.

Thank you for being open-minded to the idea of reincarnation. If all things existed and all phenomenonand ideas existed, then those all of the above, reincarnation, eternity, and simultaneous lives all co-exists at once. Hello, nice review of nde from Lura. As she spoke I remember feel bad about some thing I did at a very young age to kids, with my brothers I wish I did not do. So know knowing this will be reviewed with me when I cross , I guess I have no word other than knowing that will happen. And knowing all that matters, and being aware of what I do in my life to others matter. That’s the big realization. I don’t understand me living in all realms at the same time, but it would be nice to know if there is a better version of me! Ha thank you very good down to earth information received

Awesome interview 🙏🏼 Question for all NDEs... When you have an NDE, do all of your Selves, past, present, futur timelines and parallel universes, have it too? If so, do they all go back into their bodies at the same time or do some die and come back as part of your spiritual team or physical entourage? 😮
