San Fran needs to focus on its tourism. It is a beautiful city . It was not ok when mental disturbed , homeless folks spilled out from tenderloin to tourist places like Union square, Cable cart , Embarcadero, financial district, Civic plaza , market street . How do you expect tourist to enjoy walking , shop, enjoy a cup of coffee when there is flith on the street , half naked dirty men carrying their shopping cart around. Simply unacceptable .

have you ever been to either city? San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world. Long after Google leaves there will be others to come in and their employees will fall in love with this jewel of a city. On our worst day, San Francisco is a better place than any other in America.

The problem is not taxes. The problem is street junkies and violent, menacing shoplifters and thieves, thugs and drug dealers are allowed to run hogwild with their right to engage in destructive actions prioritized over law abiding, tax paying residents.

Google, Amazon, Oracle,Facebook , Salesforce , Visa, Microsoft - these are aging stable companies with global brand recognition. They really do not have much of their workforce in US and really do not need a place to promote their brand. They are shareholder focused , making sure companies stay profitable with minimum investment and maximum return . So any amount of cost cutting matters.

This is good news.

Stonestown's redevelopment project will replace parking lots with apartment buildings, creating an oasis of amenities for those renters. But the project will reduce local access for car drivers. Future visitors will need to use Muni or Uber/Lyft. Not sure that it's a positive story for locals. Stonestown Galleria is the last popular mall left in SF. All other SF malls are mostly vacant.

I see all the open store fronts across from the San francisco Giants stadium,,,

SF was a livable city before Big Tech moved in and hoarded the economy. This is SOP for these tech companies. Where will they ruin next?

The location was decent. Bart accessible, Ferry accessible, parking was available but really expensive. A lot of the food places started closing because of the lack of people. Monday and Fridays were almost completely dead. A few of our female coworkers were terrified of some of the homeless and refused to walk alone even during the day.

another day in SF have you seen the ocean view from Sydney harbor and Melbourne water front??? I have and it's amazed don't forget Gold Coast Australia
