Google Pixel Tablet // My Thoughts After 24hrs.

Ғылым және технология

I've had the Google Pixel Tablet for 24 hours and I have some thoughts about the Pixel Tablet. BUY PIXEL TABLET HERE! howl.me/cj0hrEcOTd9 (affiliate)
The Google Pixel Tablet is the latest tablet attempt from Google and it cost $499, and works as a 2-in-1 solution Google Nest Smart Display, and combination Pixel Android Tablet. In this video I talk about how I think it measures up against the tablet competition: Samsung Tab S8 and Apple iPad, and is it worth it?

I love mine bought it replace my nest hub mini and I think it's an excellent product I love it I love being able to just take it off the dock whenever I need to grab it and go throughout my house with it and then when I come back in my room and I just want to chill I can just sit there and cast things to it from my phone and have it on the speaker dock I was watching the new secret invasion series on Disney Plus with it last night and knowing that you can just set it and forget it and not really have to worry about Oh my tablet's not charged because you displaced it on your bedside table and forgot about it for a day or two having it on the dock you always have it ready to grab whenever you really need it.

I just ordered one of these I'd love to see a native pen and keyboard. More and more of us are working full time from home so moving from my Mac in my home office to the stand in the living room and additional stand in my master bedroom with a keyboard/touch pad combo would be epic. The lack of lte doesn't bother me at all. A tablet that allows me to check my outdoor Google nest cameras, doorbell and nest thermostats use as a tablet with my pixel buds + the potential to use a keyboard/touch pad + pencil makes it a unique product. Come on Google surely they can see the benefit of that with built in smart home features gives it the edge. There isn't even a decent third party keyboard for this yet :-/ also make desktop mode available!!!!

Great content. This is 2023. What's with the lcd panel? Or the 60hrtz refresh rate? Google should have come out of the gate throwing upper cuts instead of little jabs.

The LCD panel makes sense, since the device has an always on display for the home hub mode, an OLED would likely get screen burn in over time, I agree on the 60hz though I would have liked 90hz minimum.

No modem on Tensor means no shitty Samsung modem that drains battery and causes heat issues. I love wifi only tablets, one less transmitter and receiver draining battery.

Your speaker comparison between the dock and tablet, was that real? The tablet looked like it was sitting on your counter because on the dock there is a gap then you turned the volume up on the tablet. Was that a real comparison?

I have google hub max i purchased in 2019 & have considered upgrading to this new pixel tablet but after seeing this review a i am having doubts based on speaker quality. Do you have the hub max and if so have you compared speaker quality? The audio sounded kind of tinny and not full on the tablet dock. Also i am pretty sure you can buy another speaker dock separately off the google store

Pretty much every reviewer raves about this tablet because of the docking speaker, which basically makes this tablet primarily a Google hub with a giant screen. This is fine, but only if you are tied into the Google ecosystem already or maybe plan on it. Otherwise it makes too many compromises as far as for using as a tablet to justify the nearly $500 price tag. As always, love your review style and honesty

I know this sounds like a simple problem, but if someone can help me solve it, I would appreciate it. I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro and this tablet. Everything is synched, but when I dismiss notifications on the phone, they are still on the tablet and I have to dismiss them there. Is this normal or is there a way for when I dismiss them on the phone, they will go away on the tablet too. Thank you.

You don't need to have LTE to use it outside of the home... I never had LTE Tablet and I use them outside if needed. The link is automatic with the phone... When you need it, it turns your phone into a hotspot without even doing anything. Paying extra for LTE is useless, who leave the home without his phone ?

Tablets in general are very limited in terms of choices and brands and have become very boring. I miss the days of when there was so many choices of tablets and smartphones from so many brands. Nowadays the brands are very limited in terms of choices. It's like there are more choices of bluetooth headphones than there are smartphones and tablets combined. The choices and options have turned stale like expired milk. It's becoming too stagnant when its only samsung and apple being talked about the most and sometimes the pixel devices. If there was an option to custom built a tablet like a gaming pc, it would be more interesting and there were be plenty of choices and different varieties and different price points from entry level to high end. For example a gaming tablet with desktop pc parts like the Intel i9-13900k desktop cpu and a 4090 desktop gpu. There are gaming laptops but they are using mobile processors and mobile gpus not desktop components. The gaming laptops have barely improved in terms of battery life and with dissipation of heat. The only way to get decent battery life is by using less powerful hardware compared to there desktop counterparts. Plus you have to turn down the screen brightness to a decent level to get more than 2 hours of battery life and using power savings mode slows down the gaming performance. I wanna be able to overclock the gaming tablet and play native 4k with hdr and ray tracing on a gaming tablet without cloud streaming but native 4k from the internal storage using high performance user upgradeable ssds with very fast read and write speeds. The gaming tablet would be modular like the frame work laptops. It would expensive but they would be using standard components and every part would be user upgradeable even the display, motherboard, cpu and gpu etc.

Random question... Does anyone get a weird black line across the bottom of your Pixel 6 pro after using a cord to charge your phone? I even used multiple different blocks and cords to make sure. It doesn't stay forever and doesn't appear to show up during wireless charging but it's kind of concerning tbh 😅
