Spot on, at $1,800 people can shove the first gen remarks, especially regarding the software experience. Google is a software company that makes hardware so I think the shortcomings there are even less excusable

UPDATE: Google rolled out and update to force apps into full screen, so that isn't a issue anymore. Also Instagram has finally updated their app specifically for the fold(its awesome)...all in all pixel fold has been a great experience.in my opinion better than the z fold.

@@MichaelsTechTalk you're correct but you also said at least Samsung makes you feel better about using the whole display.pixel Fold is Not optimized but it's sure as hell a lot better than it was.

If im being honest.. love how it goes with the Apple Watch Ultra 😅

The Pixel Fold was released before the 8 series - so not sure why it’s being compared. Obviously, the guy ordered back in May - he did say that. He’s not living in a time warp, so I’m not understanding the relevance of your comment! Great review and I like the Pixel Fold, along with my Apple Watch Ultra. 😂😂😂😂

I'm late to the party. I really enjoy this phone. Extremely happy with it.

Not sure why anyone would really want to use social media apps on the inner screen. The front screen is enough for that. Inner screen for media consumption amd web browsing

i know!! Total brain fart moment because the Pixel 8 Pro arrived when i was editing this video.. Even after screening the video i didn't pickup on it.. Nightmare! Thanks for watching and i appreciate the feedback.

Everybody needs to take notes Google in Samsung look at OnePlus open an take notes the screen on the OnePlus open has has no glare

The average consumer doesn't use betas. And blowing apps up to fill the screen isn't optimised. A proper tablet app experience is optimised for the hardware. For £1800, no body should have to install betas to get half an experience.

Mine developed a nice perfect circle of dead pixels ing the crease. Google customer service is complete shite. Told me t was from damage even though I proved there was no damage and proved with pics. Durability is not great. the piano black bezels show every single micro scratch. The back visor appears to be made out of butter....Seriously you breathe on the back visor and it scratches. Cameras are meh....average. They did fix the brightness issues but If I leave 5G on it gets warm all the time when surfing or watching a movie. Google finally shipped me a replacement box after 28 emails and like a month. So we will see. In the mean time I got the OnePlus open and if they were twins the one plus would be Arnold and the pixel would be Danny divot. It blows away the pixel fold in every single way. The inside screen is way too glossy. and the fact that you have to pry a tad to get it to open flat is annoying. The tensor chip with the heat issues on 5g are the most annoying part for me. That and the garbage customer service on a $1800 device. Dont even get me started on the crap multitasking. smh. From a software company it's not great. It's half ass. Speakers sound good but you have virtually no volume till you get to almost 3/4 of the way and the volume double on the last 3 click to max pretty much. Would not do it again.

Damn, sorry to hear you've had so many issus. Everyone says they'd love Apple to do a folding phone but the one reason they won't do it is simply down to durability. They won't put their name on a device with poor durability.

Whenever Apple makes a Fold is when ill buy one but only under their upgrade progam would not keep a foldable long term out of warranty

With my 14 pro max I know I got at least 3-4 years before even wanting to upgrade or being worried about durability lol

Well.. there’s many reasons for this, to which I will help explain. 1. I run a tech channel in which I carry iPhone and Android. Like many people do in the tech space. Actual tech people who like to use multiple devices. 2. The Pixel Watch is utter garbage. 3. The Apple Watch Ultra is LTE so I don’t need to carry an iPhone to use it day to day. 4. The Pixel Watch is utter garbage. 5. All of my tech is bought and paid for out of my own pocket, unlike a lot of channels that is gifted devices, so my opinion will be an honest one. 6. The Pixel Watch is utter garbage. Hope this helps. 👍🏻

I absolutely love sharp people like this. Saying that. Apple makes a LOT of good stuff while at the same time stabbing their long time customers in the back. I'll never buy another iPhone. Ip. Non-cell iPads I'll buy, PowerBeats ear pods yes. About anything that doesn't have a sim tray yes! But they took that tray from us in the USA and left it for the rest of the planet....... literally. OnePlus is now my smart phone brand. Everything else is still Apple and IOS. Just wish Apple would have kept their heads out of their collective asses. Not to worry tho. OnePlus gets my Smartphone money now. And I spend a stupid amount on this shit every year. So Apple just shot themselves in the foot.

He's referring to the new ai features included in the new pixel 8 and 8 pro. They made it so they are not available on the pixel fold even tho it's still considered new and top of the line by Google. They are mostly software features too which is just kind of a spit in the face by Google imo. I love the pixel fold form factor but it definitely feels like a typical Google thing that may just be forgotten and cancelled eventually

The inside screen on my pixel fold went dead after 1 month old never again 🤬

Phone gets got fast, inside screen separated after 6 days, started with screen protector visibly creasing in center, then bubbles, then black screen from center spreading outward. F google and f their phone. I am told i can trade phone for the first 14 days, but if it is not 100% working phone, they eill charge me trade in value and I will be stuck with a piece of 💩
