Thanks for watching! Leave a thumbs up on the video if you want to see me use this for street photography and test more features like zoom, and low light.

Google's approach to the bokeh element is in the edit...Google Photos: Edit>Tools>Blur
Google was one of the first, if not the very first company to bring computational photography (namely their HDR+ algorithm) to Smartphones. Apple and other Android OEMs were way behind in terms of processing once the Google Nexus 5x and 6p hit. Same goes for their computational raw files.
To transfer files from an Android phone you literally can plug your usb-c to c cable onto your computer and phone, change the charging option on your phone to file transfer then your computer will see your phone as an external drive. No need to delete the extra jpegs no need to transfer to Google drive.

Yeah that didn’t work with this phone. Not sure why. You are right tho it’s been that way with every other android device I’ve used

If you use a Mac, yes, but on windows, you can install quickshare and use it basically like airdrop.

Definitely do those tests, definitely curious to see what it can do, especially low light.

Most likely will just because doing street photography with smartphones is always fun for me haha
I'm not a photographer or even someone who looks at many images, but it was pretty obvious that image A had much more detail than image B. Image B had a nice, balanced and 'realistic' tone, but there was no fine detail of material grain, etc on that image. Image A was obviously the more expensive camera.
those new smartphones are incredible now for the quality that they produce, like now even if you are a pro photographer and could find it a bit hard to know if the pic from a phone or a pro camera, next phone I would like to suggest to try is Sony Xperia 1 Mark Vi, give it a try, the portrait mode in that phone is way beyond the other phones.
Please do the Pixel 8 Pro. I think youd ve blown away
I really like that you're unbiased and always trying out different brands, this content would be of great help to those who aspire to create but don't use a certain brand for any reason, however I would love to know your opinion on the Pixel AI editing, I think it's called "Magic Editor if I'm not mistaken, Great video as always.
I find the colors out the box from this phone are lovely, not overly digital, no crazy in camera processing, just clean shots, and they're a dream to edit compared to other phones iv had, o have a similar issue with the noise in desaturated shadows and in low light

@@crpro5420 See if you look at the bottom (back side), you will be able to see where it was made. My Pixel 6a says made in vietnam. Please check and tell..
you should try the pixel 8 pro and the pixel 9 pro when it releases
How do you connect a mic to this this phone without a mic jack? Bluetooth? I know it's not Leica standards but would this be a good handset for videos and how is the audio playback for having a clear and voice that be heard well from the internal mic of the 8a?
Hi - what did you edit the RAW files in.
fornmy phone its a motorola and the pictures lookclear from my phone but on iphone and when i post on my story. the pictures look so grainy. Does the picture look clear across the board on iphones and android
Awesome
My first ‘smartphone’ with a camera was the O2 X2. It had a 0.2mp sensor!
You should try Sony Xperia VI It has actually moving optical zoom
Curious how the pro would fare. Nice vid and these ironically help my photography too, bc you always have good compositions with these phones

iPhones sucks in photography, those phones are only super hyped by influencers. I will take any Pixel to snap pics over any phone.

Agreeed. I always install gcam on my poco snapdragon phones lol
Take a normal raw photo than google photos background blur, you can control the blur and also habe the raw file
A folder with the Raw images is supposed to be automatically created and to transfer them use Quick Share. I don't know if there is a Quick Share app for Apple, but there is one for Windows.
Would love it if u compare it to the pixel 8
recently i've went to take space and road photos on my samsung phone, i installed the raw app, and got AMAZING resaults, i'm going to look if you have a video messing with the raw app after this vid lamo
If only Google would have had the charger in the box and at least 90w charging. I think they would have conquered the Android scene....

These OEMs that remove the charger always do that obligating to purchase one with a slug speed

The main key is good lighting. Pixel photos are just good enough to use on social media. For large print or crop or unique look we need pro camera.
