I have been experiencing this problem for years. I have seen and tried all methods. Nothing works. The only one that works for me is to keep trying to open and close and then after like 30-50 tries it will suddenly open up normally! I am running chrome on windows 7.

While following your steps I discovered I had accidentally applied "Hidden" to a whole bunch of my apps including Chrome. When I unticked hidden and applied to all the folders Chrome worked immediately.

Never faced any issue with win 7. Now everyday some issue with win 11 on my new asus tuf

nothing worked. so it opens but does not open all the way . If I hover over it, it will show chrome is open

i also have this problem. I just got fed up with it and dropped trying to find a solution. I just think microsoft just wants me to use edge. Which is not too shabby at all. i can also have my tabs and it doenst lag at all. Also i think it may be faster than chrome and uses less ram.

Uninstall completely using revo and then reinstall again

update: its broken again and now chrome icon is gone.

After upgrading I cant open any browser. Everything else is working

Not working. actually no other browser works on my daughter's laptop after she upgraded from windows 10 to 11. We installed firefox, brave etc. No help. Only the edge works. Any ideas?
