I know what you mean about the older stuff - particular as you don’t see the older stuff so much! I remember standunf next to a gt40 in the paddock doing a cold start! Just don’t get that with modern engines - even an amg 63 mow is not as much great now.

Great Vid, jealous aswell as did not get there.....the older cars are the best. the old aston martin V series. Did not like the new Range Rover intererior. You mention white smoke, is this when accelerating hard, using kick down? If so had the same issue. Its could be oil in the turbo manifold pipe. There are two turbos, one low end, one for high end. High end kicks in around 3000revs, but does not get used much, so oil tends to pool in the maniifold pipe. Land Rover do have a drain in it, but it goes to the bottom of the sump. There is a Land Rover modification available. Thats the good news, bad news its buried in the engine and its expensive to get there, mine cost £3K. There is a very outside chance it could be one of the turbo's has gone....then you are talking serious money.....sorry..Hope that helps
