Thrift stores can be a gold mine of used electronics. Any video cameras and dvd r/vcr combos are great finds

I prefer the designations for Outputs that Manufacturers usually use. Composite = CVBS, S-Video = Y/C, Component = YUV

That's awesome, such a good story. I use my mom's Hiatus from the year 2000. And that's how I'm able to make money scanning and home movies for people just like you said LOL. My camcorder is constantly spitting back out the tape, and then suddenly have no issues. So it would be cool to find a new one just like this. But for my camcorder from 2000, I've been taking it out to family events this summer . I filled concerts, birthday parties, wedding parties.

I've had a couple of those and that pop-up eject mechanism breaks pretty easily.

I can't tell which model this is, but go into the menu settings and you will likely find that this camera has a TBC for playback which must be turned "on".

Would that perhaps be the model TRV-615 there?
