Yes--take your child thrifting! I'm almost 80 years old. I remember my mother taking us thrifting in downtown Minneapolis in the early 1950s. She did not drive so we took the city bus to Goodwill and The Salvation Army Store. We were young enough that she put my brother and me in the cart! At that time, Goodwill had donations of bakery goods from the nearby Egekist Bakery. So she'd get a bag of Danish treats which would keep us quiet for a while. I remember corsets, long white gloves, handkerchiefs, and slipper chairs. You'll not be surprised to know that I'm a reseller too. I started selling on eBay in 2015. I call myself, Goodwill Bunny, the Elder reSeller in Phoenix. I was happy to hear you say that Goodwill has done a market correction on their pricing in your area. The store nearest to me over the last three years had nearly priced themselves out of business. After they came back from the shutdown in 2020, the prices skyrocketed which caused people to take their dollars elsewhere. I was just there in December and the prices had come down considerably, which made me so happy because I haven’t shopped there in 3 years. Now I have another store to source from again.

Hi Lisa I totally feel you about filming when you have littles running around. 😅 Most of the time I film when my kids are at school but I have a few videos where you can hear my kids in the background. 😊 Great thrift haul by the way! My thrift stores are still pricey. I’m in Southern California.

Do not worry about your child making noises, children are supposed to. I rather miss it now that mine are all grown and my grandchildren too. Great hall. Thinking about doing E-Bay. Peace!

Wow! I had the same experience at my GW. I stopped going for about a month and thought they had a new person who didn’t know what they were doing pricing the shoes, lol. I bought 9 pairs for $36.

I’m SOOOO thankful my goodwill does $1 day on Mondays for the color of the week. We have 5 goodwills in my area but I can only make it to 3 by the time I’m worn out lol.

Fingers crossed that the lower prices stick around, and spread throughout the country. Of course my mind is wondering why this is happening, and why it took so long. I haven't went to a regular GW store in years, but now I'm curious.

I believe you are local to me. I had stopped shopping at the normal Goodwills also because of the prices. I just happened to stop at one on New Years Eve and they were announcing over the intercom that all new items coming on the floor were going to be $7.99 or less. I was waiting around for the new racks anD I found some great deals. Including several Lululemon for $5. Now to only hope it stays this way.

I'm in GA and goodwill has been pretty much the highest thrift store. A lot of the other thrift stores are mixed prices. I hope the lower prices are across the board. Ours also have some cheesy brand jewelry instead of the donated stuff. That's disappointing as hell.

The prices are really high. In Grand Rapids, MI they send texts having 25% off sales. If the lowered their prices they wouldn’t have to run sales.

You can go to Ross and get brand new for MUCH LESS

Spenco is a GREAT brand! They are an orthodotic shoe. They are now called Revitalign though. But, they are very good shoes!

Our thirt store prices in Ireland can be crazy I've found websites where I can buy discounted name brands for less than a thrift store it seems crazy especially when their a charity store and getting the items free their putting people off buying second hand.

I was in 7 different goodwills in my area, Las Vegas, this past week and definitely no lowering of prices here. Lots of items wayyyy overpriced! Our Savers out here have better pricing, which is where I get most of my items. But fingers crossed that maybe they’ll roll out the lower pricing across the country 🤞🏼

I shop for myself & my family but I can tell you that the prices are crazy out of control. I was told they have a rule that nothing can be priced under $1.99 which is why you walk in & find things from Dollar Tree that cost $1.35 but Goodwill prices it at $1.99. 😮

Goodwill is a business like you. They have to pay labor and operations. I have no problem with GW or others raising their prices. As a business we should all be glad that there is a GW. I know I would be devastated if my Salvation Army closed, which it has done. It has closed a couple of stores and then I have to shuffle and find another faraway Salvation Army. I only go thrifting on deep discount days.

I went to one this past week and noticed all the use-to-be 3.99 items are now 4.99

My goodwill never has sales, or discounts. The prices are very discouraging.

Bring your sighs that say how much the cfo makes a year, and how they are in business for profit and not a charity. Protest and bring flyers to state your case, dont let them get away with it.

In Northeast Ohio are Goodwill would have two colors a half price color and a dollar cover every week. After the pandemic and they were closed for a while when they reopen they took the one dollar price clothing away. And their prices went up probably 30 to 50%. If you bought $100 worth of items you would get a five dollar off. Now they’ve changed it and if you buy $30 you get five dollars off if you buy $60 worthYou get $10 off and if you buy $90 you get $15 off. Which is much better than the five dollars off of 100. But their prices have still been out of control and I have to drive into another county if I want to find really good deals at cheaper prices. I don’t understand why all Goodwill’s across the country aren’t the same I know they have different CEOs for different regions but they should all get together and have the same policies and prices. Just found your video enjoyed it very much

Omg. My brain hurts. You need to get daycare… that was so extra. I have 6 kids and I would never have my kids in the background disputing my sales. It’s business.

OMG a real Karen-comment! I have no kids and I love having her babble around, Emilia must be about the age Lexy was when I started watching you. If it was for me, I’d rather see the four girls and you chitchatting instead of jeans for four or five dollar. If you bring back your old formats Lisa, please let your two youngest do your makeup 💜😬
