Earth Mama Organics are entitled to their name. The whole point of trademarking is making sure no one uses your business name. If I decide to start a business named Facebooke I can’t be mad Facebook serves me with a cease and desist even if I didn’t know they existed. I’m happy Valadya took it with grace and got this opportunity to start paying closer attention to the legal side of her business ventures.

@@paraaapara Actually they couldn't. It was explained in the video that there was confusion because of the similarities. We all have to be mindful of legal responsibilities when embarking in the business world. Ignorance of the law doesn't excuse you when you violate it, only soften the blow somewhat. The other company had long trademarked the name. They didn't sue her, only informed her of the violation and told her to stop. She's doing the right thing in taking ownership for not paying attention to detail at the inception. She'll do better now. Like she said, it's a lesson. Life brings us plenty of those.

Love that your name is front and centre to what you do and what you offer. Veladaya Organica seems more focused, self-assured, and ready for the growth that awaits you. To every shift in ones life comes new opportunities!

Let this be a BIG lesson for all of you (including me) who are existing out of love and not taking care of the behind-the-scenes business that comes along with it. This was a reminder for me to connect my heart with my brain and handle my business because I have operated prior businesses under cool unique names but one google search showed me that my creations are fair game if I don't spend the time and money to protect them. SO frustrating!!!! Ugh!!! Anyway, I've been following and supporting you since before you got in that van sis and you are RESILIENT!!!! And I can't wait to see what comes next.
