There was a lot of ambition like the lunar overture but the executions were just bad and the amount of dryness we had this year. At least the Krampus revenge event and the quests were actually good. I wonder if the TDX competition ended up lighting the fire to the TDS devs.

Overall, the best way to summarize this Accel remakes were an overall win, it looks good. The skin crates are all very good skins, even though the constant skins with no other updates were annoying. Lunar Overture was very fun, and act 3 was overall good especially considering how much robux Below spent to pay for all the UGCs. Krampus’s revenge is likely one of the best updates TDS could have done, tying together the God Cube, Krampus, and Umbra will allow for much more storyline, as it also includes Jack-O-Bot and other events with their stories. Tbh, this year was really good towards the end.

Great year, I think that the developers may have gave in to the pressure from TDX but Krampus' Revenge was a great light way to end off the year!

We really dont need another event, we just need content that will stay forever. Events bring variety of gameplay, so does permanent gamemodes but gamemodes stay forever and events dont. While towers behind those event will most likely will never be able to be redeemed again for free.

2023 went so fast quickly as we go.

in 2023, my friend got me back into tds. I went from a lvl 30 player with mini as my only decent tower, to now having all non event towers, and 3 event towers. I also am lvl 130 and have 1 gold skin. golden pyro

I went from lvl 40 to lvl231 and have engineer accel every coin tower gpyro and gcowboy and have 5 event towers

Tbh this year was alright for me. just when i try to load in game on pc there’s just a black screen for a few minutes then loads in. Same as in a match it just takes so long for me to load on pc. i don’t think it’s an internet problem since i’ve checked my internet numerous times

i think tds will have more updates in 2024 but am not sure i just hope tds will go well

In all honesty even though the first half was just skins, Lunar Overtune and Krampus revenge were actually pretty good, even with act 3. Both events gave reworks and new towers. The jester, necromacer, mini rework, ranger rework, the cryomancer, the frost blaster rework, and most of all the long awaited freezer rework.

The actual lore behind solar eclipse event Frost invasion event was actually for “studying purposes” since they were conducting research on the frost dimension And the return of krampus, an old friend that we fought back 4 or 5 years ago.

I beg to differ, as a person who joined right in the middle of the SFOTH event I will say TDS has been improving their events just not executing them well, but when they do oh hell the new ones can be fire, like the duck event or the Krampus revenge (ignoring the reused enemies but hey we got 3 reworked towers so that’s a good deal in my eyes)

I would say that the first, the fallen king/gladiator event, was the best. With it forcing certain towers and forced a lot of teamwork. Not too much to make it impossible but enough to make it challenging.

Heres what ill say Honestly the constant dryness for the end of the year's stuff was not worth it at all The Accel and Demo rebalances were ok, all the skins were nice, a good amount of towers actually got balanced when they needed it, for example Frost Blaster, Freezer (finally), Toxic Gunner, and I think Archer was this year as well. But the fact that all the months buildup ended up with a glitchy as hell event that most of the playerbase hated was horrible, and hopefully the devs learn from that. The XMAS-2023 event probably carried this entire year in my opinion.

I beat act 3 80 TIMES and in most of them the spotlights glitched and didn't deal any dmg to the boss

I was primarily just gone from tds for the past year until my friends hit me up and told me to play lunar overture with them, and after maxing out that battle pass I’m now pulled back into TDS (I used to play it in 2019-2020, so I’m an “og” I guess lol) I think the Christmas event was amazing and 2024 could be a much brighter year for TDS as long as they take their time and cook

TDS keeps updating nonstop and that makes me so happy

I actually started playing in the vintage crate then the rest is history for me

I love 2023 in tds because I got to level 422 and the Ui change kinda sucks but it’s great in general

They can make more efforts for new towers (not the event tower ones) like the hacker tower and the evolve towers like kingpin and juggernaut, one of the forgotten projects of tds

I only tried beating wasteland or whatever 2 timez. First time i left cuz everyone left (random team) next time i stayed. We had no medic and only 2 or 3 ppl had accel. Although we won thanks to my commander chain and everyones accel. Man 2 tries and a win. Great luck

I agree this year is mostly about skins man

I like the year it was fun, but the start it wasn’t so great, but I had a lot of fun things to do at the same time so I have memories. We had😊 two events back to back the first one wasn’t that well but the second one was very good. It reminded me of 2021 frost evasion event, and that’s when I started so the nostalgia. Me and my friends we’re joking about the skins only being the only content, but we had a few good skins like valentines, ducky,valiant,and private me, and my friends had some good memories I like the year it was fun I’ll miss 2023 a lot, but we have a lot of good things that can happen in 2024 I can’t believe it’s almost 2024 already but this year, even though the front part of the year wasn’t so good and just had skins when we look back and like three years, we might have nostalgia this is sad, but by 2023 hello 2024 and all the great things you have in store for us in TDS. Well Missy, 2023 but 2024 could have great things so bye 2023 and 2024 would have great stuff in it for TDS. I’m feeling it.

After Christmas 2022 event, I thought TDS has reached its limit for adding enemies.. Until.. The Halloween Update released a bunch of new enemies released! so I play tds again

I tds quit 2 years ago because the game just became... boring as hell. My friends still played it a lot and I came back to it a few times but Ive given up on the game forever, it just wasn't fun anymore, but I guess it still makes sense why some still play, but they are likely newer players

Even tho 2022 was better, 2023 had some great moments, and its easy to tell they are 100% ready for 2024.

Someone in tds discord server made a message showing what's to come in 2024 and it looks promising.

After hardcore mode I think thats when I just started getting bored of TDS, they started changing everything (which i didnt like in MY opinion) and the events were feeling like nothing special.

Im pretty sure im not the firist but tds is copying itself quite alot Badlands (map) -> badlands II Polluted wasteland -> polluted wasteland II ducky d00m thingy -> duck hunt Frost invasion, violent night and the krampus event idk how it called -> krampus revenge Solar eclipse and horror carnival -> lunar overturne I wonder whos next, i hope an area 51 event remake comes out soon, even the sword fight on the height. @@piotrm5635 what i meant with "copying itself" is that they are taking inspiration from old stuff they made, even if its just the boss they still took inspiration from the old one, even lunar overturne which is a sequel to the solar eclipse has took enemies like the cobalt guard and remade them, still taking inspiration from the old cobalt guard, it even added a similar "act" system that was in solar eclipse, but it still doesnt change the fact that lunar overturne fucking sucks (just wanted to point that out)

pretty good year in my opinion, I mean skin updates were pretty boring however I loved the pirate ones and the game did need more permanent skin crates. Lunar overture honestly wasn't as bad as people say, as for act 3 the balancing was awful but once it was fixed which only took about a day it was pretty fun, I guess it kinda messed up the lore but the mode itself was fun. The christmas event was good, simple as that.

Lunar Overture was so damn mid, they never even fixed the light bug which discouraged me from playing it.

The beginning of the year was really meh, I mean it was great that mortar, pursuit, and some other towers got the needed buffs, but yeah, not much at the beginning of the year. Then Lunar Overture, good event concept but with an extremely mediocre gimmick and Act 3 being absolutely horrid, but great event tower. Then Razuatix stepped down, and we got Christmas. So fun year, but we know how impatient the TDS community gets when it comes to events and updates

Honestly, I got bored of the repetitive nature of TDS, but I do come back to the OST playlist every now and then to listen to the music, pretty kickass.

I would disagree. Area51 was probably the second worst event because of its very slow pace and easy difficulty, not to mention the raider boss would only kill like 3 towers
