I know this comes as a shock, but it is something Lance has been thinking about for a while. I guess being a KZread star isn't everyone's end goal in life and Lance actually has a whole different skill set he will be putting to use in his new job. We already miss him!

I am 43 and always had this thing that I wanted to learn to skate. I bought a Skate 2 weeks ago and I am having so much fun😊 Its physical, clever and I am digging into the culture and learn and discover so many things. I find it very entertaining!!. I don’t remember how I exactly ended watching those guys but I am a huge fan now! It feels good to watch those young dudes having a good time and teaching how its done.

I never realized how emotionally attached to this group I was. I started watching Braille back in early 2009, and have tried to stay as up to date with them as I could. It's been 9 years... 9 YEARS since I was introduced to this community when I was just 12. I have literally grown up along side each and everyone of them. I only recently found Braille. I was recovering from a bad knee injury that happened during a soccer game. Laid up & not as mobile as I was, I stumbled across some of the earlier videos, learn to skate w/ lance, skate anything, & the you make it series. I was hooked, I told myself I would relearn skate boarding after I recovered. Well it's been more than a year & I'm still not fully healed. So that's a bummer & an equal bummer is this news about Lance. He was a huge part of the channel for me, b/c I felt like that's what I would have to go thru to relearn skating. It was a sad video, but I wish him all the best.

I've been binge watching a ton of your beginner tutorials to help me better teach my 12 year old daughter who just recently took up skateboarding. I love all the Lance vids! Just saw this vid today and sad he's no longer at Braille. All the best to ya #skategod !! Thanks to Lance!! The videos of him learning skateboarding have also inspired me to get back into it after over 10 years and keep learning new tricks and getting the old skills back at 41 years old. Skateboarding is back in my life again partly due to Lance and Aaron and the whole Braille crew. I forgot how much I loved skateboarding. You guys rock!

My favorite part about Lance is that he kept the mood light with playful banter and dad jokes but always kept a positive environment for everyone surrounding him. He never bossed people or told them what to do, but rather provided encouragement time and time again until the trick was landed. In my eyes that's what we need for eachother as friends and parents to our youth.

#RIPSkateGod You may not have realized it, Lance, but you were an integral part of this channel. Those of us who can't skate worth a shit all lived vicariously through you. When you succeeded, we all felt that joy as well. When you failed, we all hoped you'd get right back up and try again. And you did. Personally, you were one of the main reasons I looked forward to Braille videos. Your brand of self-depricating humor and your overall projection of being kind is also a teaching mechanism for some of the kids these days. You will be missed. Lance is such a gentle soul, I could feel his compassion and empathy through the screen. I took a break from Braille and came back to videos without him, I just figured he had left. Didn't hit me how sad that made me until coming across this video. Thanks for everything, Lance. While I'm older than most of the general audience here, you've been a great influence on the younger people watching these videos. Keep being one of the kindest, sweetest people out there. Lots of love, man. I hope the rest of your life is everything you could ever want and more, sincerely.

Coming back to see lance again.. I remember when I was little u would always help lance become the best skater he can be. And he improved so much. I still miss him

I don't think that Lance even realizes how many he encouraged to get back at skateboard. I'm one of them and I can't thank him enough for that ! Good luck with the future Lance, thanks for everything !

I literally cried watching this for the 5th time its now 2020 and i still have a void in my heart i hope to see him again one day.... he was such a character to love and appreciate.

Feels like I've lost a close friend. Lance motivated me to get better at skateboarding and he genuinely seems like a great person.

Dan Ptaszek I agree. When I was feeling down about learning a trick, I would just think to myself “Lance did it. I can do it” and then I would push myself to learn it

l got pretty nostalgic watching the oldclips

I started skating about 4 years ago . Lance gave me so much inspiration to go out and skate because we were both learning kickflips and other tricks at the same time . If not for him I have no idea where my level of skating would be at . Everyone reading this , go out and skate . Learn some new tricks . To Lance

I had stopped watchung braille for about a year, came back and noticed their wa no Lance. I figured he just wasn't in the newest videos, but he's actually gone. Best of luck to you Lance, one love.

best part of lance was and still is how he inspires a lot of us to start skating again or for the first time
