It's something - but South India is full of surprises - in just daily life. Thanks for this particular video - Enjoyed it. But have to say, also made me quite sad - because that was my daily life 24 years ago and it was wonderful and life was good, with my young kids getting to grip with Indian school days ... and me on my very treasured Indian Enfield...fitted with sari guard ...and taking me to work and back, every day. tbh, got choked up with just seeing those scenes again.@@FreddieDobbs
Hi Freddie, 5 years back I had the privilege of calling Goa my home for 6 months and looking back at it feels less to explore the whole of goa within that time span....most of my discoveries were just chance encounters that I stumbled upon on my bike be it capturing bioluminesence at midnight at Sinquerim to the Caves of Querim to the clean roads of Chorao and Divar islands to this place which you showed in this episode which I reckon are the northern cliffs of Anjuna right besides Hilltop goa...have some fond memories from my time there...glad that you enjoyed your time there...and I wish you come back some other time for more because goa never ceases to surprise you.

Glad that you loved India. It's hard to explain.. India takes time to understand.. and sometimes I feel (after living in the west) that it's probably one of the "free"est countries to live. Precisely because there are not many rules you could live life without a care in the world and do whatever you want especially if you have some money. Certainly not for everyone though!!

To be honest, India would not be high on my bucket list for precisely this reason. I'd be pissed off the whole time their. It's hard enough to watch this on a video.

Thank you, Freddie and Monica! What a fun trip!
I'm so glad you enjoyed India. Holiday reps and tour guides have said to me they find that people love it or hate it. I've been every winter for the last 20 years .For guaranteed winter biking in decent weather. Regarding the lack of people. A well known British tourist company ripped off several local hotels and they will no longer deal with them. This has dramatically reduced Brits staying in the area you were. Secondly the Russians seem to be far less present over the last two years. And finally the holiday season is Nov to Mar ,so you are right at the end of it. Look forward to seeing Sri Lanka as that's a new place for me. Safe travels.
Excellent video. Brilliant photography. You seems to have squeezed quite a bit out of your trip. Enjoyed watching. Keep up the good work.

Normally, I view your videos for the quality of your bike reviews Freddie. You truly have taken much effort to air some top quality content. This time however, it was different since Goa used to be my second home for 19 years before I finally moved overseas. I even spent a short while working for the Royal Enfield dealership in South Goa in 2014 - 15 and it was around this time we got wind of the concept RE was planing. Therefore, viewing your video on RE's Garage Cafe was extra special. Thank you for this wonderful Goa series and looking forward to what you have to air in future. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. ❤❤
I am sure that I might not enjoy going there as much as I enjoyed watching these videos. The videography is top notch, the most simplest things were presented in a fantastic way. I wondered how Monica is filming these with a steady hand (probably a gimbal)! But the credit goes to her. Welcome to India whenever you wanna be back. 😌🙏🏼 *Hope the littering problem subsides in near future. I'm sick of it but it was a thousands of years old habit of throwing away leaves used for packing or other bio-degradable organic waste, no harm. It is hard to control half-a-billion people who still not realised the harms of plastic waste ever since plastic is being used here widely from the past 35 years.
To both Freddie and Monika, thank you so much for this series ❤
What is sad is to see is the garbage all over the place - even the little side trek you did on the hill. Beautiful country, but needs to be better taken care of.

I really love music of following places in India: Kerala, Goa, West Bengal and Mizoram. I have a playlist of 45 Goan songs I like. Even though Mizoram is part of India it feels like a foreign country. The youth there don't speak Hindi/Urdu and they speak Mizo. Their English is slightly better than Koreans. Nobody honks or jumps lanes and the cars stop for pedestrians. Their music is excellent and it sounds like US music of 1970s. My favorite Mizo songs from various years are following: 1) Kimkima: I zun ngaih (2019) 2) Sangtei Khuptong and K Hminga: Awm lo tala (2020) 3) Cassettes: E Khai (2021) 4) Zaii Hauchhum and Vanlalhmangaiha: Hmangaihte Hmangaihna (2022) 5) Saiwanah and Mary Dawngi: Ka Pa Khuma (2023) I have following Mizo playlists: 1) 25 Artists 25 Songs 2) Mizo Top 75 3) Mizo 460 songs I like.

Don’t get me wrong Freddie, I thoroughly enjoy ALL these interesting travel and biking vlogs and I never miss a Tuesday at Dobbs, BUT… I seriously can’t wait for you to get back to, what was my core reason for following you in the first place, which is you, (and of course Monica!), with all your hilarious highs and lows, out and about and on road trips on your Bonnie (and road testing other bikes). 😊
Hi Freddie, loved the Goa content and India generally, very informative and entertaining. I have the same R.E 350 among my collection as they were still sold here in Australia until very recently. mine happens to be a 2016 I bought off an Indian fellow living here in Aus. The model you hired is a Twinspark (two sparkplugs) carburetor model that is why there is no fuel pump sound when you turn on the ignition to start the bike. They are a bit down on power compared to the 500's but cool all the same. Looking forward to Sri Lanka. Lester.
Glad to see you guys enjoyed your stay here! If you're coming back to India, I am calling Dobbs on being your camera guy in the country! lol!

Very nice! Freddie, I wouldn't worry about your "International Licence". It is really just an International Drivers Permit [IDP] issued under one of three UN Conventions [1926/'49/'68] and in some countries can issued by an Automobile Club. Your UK RAC can no longer do this since Brexit.... You can get away - in many countries - with just your foreign licence and no IDP. I've been caught speeding a number of times without one and usually let off with a warning only. But, you "should" get one for Sri Lanka if only for rental ease and peace of mind. From my understanding and minor infringement experience, there is no closed loop "licence" functionality back to home. If any country were to annotate or withdraw my IDP, I'd just "lose" it and grab another.
I’ve been 5 times to Goa and always explore on a R.E. It’s is magical, as you say. I’m looking forward to seeing the Sri Lanka vids as I’d really like to go there too. (I’m so jealous). Take care Dudes..

As thoroughly enjoyable as you've found Goa to be, I think you're going to find Sri Lanka more fascinating still. A friend of mine worked there back in the 90's and has reminisced and waxed lyrical of his memories ever since. Bon voyage.
everything is just ordinary but your videography and music make it something else, something new.
Hi Freddie, In Goa it’s fine… but if you happen to travel in other places, I’d suggest, don’t venture around in isolated places for safety reasons.
Great as always. Having done India you only get it after your first visit. But, then you're hooked. Terrible shame about the litter though. Us humans don't look after anything!! Keep up the great videos. Enjoy Sri Lanka
