Good Perry Talks Producer Come Up With Yachty, Making a Beat in His Car That Made Him Rich & More
Музыка
The Good Perry pulled up on us to talk about his producer come up story & linking up with Lil Yachty back in 2015. He told us the story of making a beat in FL Studio his car that would eventually change his life and make him rich (Lil Yachty - One Night.) We talked about a lot of different topics including how the music business has changed, signing to Coach K, His music publishing deal with Rick Rubin, how long it took to get paid as a producer, and even some deep philosophical stuff. Oh yeah we also talked a little but about the new Nexus 3 VST.
This is the last Producergrind Podcast of 2019. Thank you guys for tuning in all year, we can't wait to go crazy in 2020!

Bro y'all should really put the producer's beat tag in the part where the producer is introduced. It would be cool af + at that point, a lotta people would finally recognize the guest from the tag if not recognized yet.

to answer the question on philosophical vs real world business strategy, i personally like to see both. this was one of my favorite interviews on the channel and i find the ones i like most consist mostly of stories and business strategy but also where the guest understands the importance of being humble and positive, or seem to be somewhat spiritual despite their look or background. great episode
Best podcast I’ve ever seen on this channel. And it’s better him saying “like” so many times other than just sitting in silence lol
This guy made Yatchy’s first sound. I hope they work together in the future
I been known of Perry but this interview made me a fan. A very observant and introspective individual. Appreciate this one.
i like all the inputs you guys give, i feel like a lot of producers forget that this is all about memories in our lives, we make beats because of emotion and i feel like money and success are just extra gains we may or may not even get, everybody needa side hustle fr if you wanna come up not just gonna come up out of nowhere, i feel like not alot of people really loving it anymore, everybody just wanna blow up loool & i feel them but grinding really takes time

In my opinion this is the best podcast I’ve seen... the philosophical topics definitely intrigued me the most
I enjoyed the philosophy talk between yall, Its good to hear from people around your age breaking things down like that !
I think it’s important to note tho that a lot of producers in our generation aren’t just “popping up”, more so than they come up with a unit or a team. When the rappers pop, the producers come with them when they’re skill is shown on tracks It’s not just lone wolves out here. Build a team and grow together. Somebody writing, somebody produce, somebody engineer. You all come up together and grow together as well.
Didn’t expect this😦🔥🔥
Love the combo of the philosophical stuff and the story. Keep it up, yall really making an impact on my life.

Dope convo guys 🔥
Producers get paid for performance royalties. Its called BMI Live. You have to register the performances on BMI everytimes the artist perform and the venue has to be verified with BMI as well.
All the passion/business talk make me realize that if u get passionate about business as well as making art that that’s the best way to make money doing what you love. I produced for years and had so many placements but eventually fell off because it felt like a job and my ego was too crazy for me to just keep going hard despite whatever I was experiencing. I would get broke and felt the pressure of needing to make a new beat to make money. It fucked with my art ina major way but now I’m at a point where I got passionate about my brand and business and I can make a beat freely knowing I need to make money and not have my feelings get in the way and still make fire.
All y'all feeding my soul for real
Another fire interview🤟🏽🔥
I’m in the position of knowing I’m worth a lot more but I gotta deal with my current situations rn! Album drops January 20th tho!! Fully written produced, engineered by myself 🙏🏽
