I remember that they once did a feature on gas appliance safety, and the carbon monoxide detector that they were demonstrating unexpectedly alerted them to a leak in the studio. Turned out that a fire which was part of the set had been poorly installed and maintained. It made the news.

I thought this show was a real snore (I was only about six and my grandparents watched it), but I loved the title sequence.
