The whippings gives the bracelet a pretty nice nautical touch, as so is the little anchor. Love it!

Only problem I've had after making and wearing this very nice bracelet, is fishing buddies at my marina hounding me to make each of them one. Very nice, and thank you Mikko!

Finally! I always struggled to memorize the so called "2 strandet Diamond knot". Now that I learned the carrick Band, It's Not even an independent knot anymore.🤣 Thank you! I can Not memorize knots unless I understood them. An I always felt ashamed Not knowing that stupid Diamond. The carrick bend is extremely valuable for understanding knots I guess. To me it feels like I found the missing link. I always loved the cross knot. It feels like "the father" of all easy and usefull knots. Now I know "the mother". Maybe that Sounds stupid, but something tells me that you unterstand what I mean.

anyone who has made this, what sized clasp did you use? I see 20, 23 & 26 mm etc. which size is preferable? Mikko-I’ve always enjoyed the non-verbal aspects of you videos, I like this side of you as well. I’ve not done much lately, but this project I have to try. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and skills. Donald

Neat rope work. Your little stool had an area on the left where it looked like you poke holes in the same spot or stick something (knife? needle?punch?). Just wondering what you do there. I like the center hole on the seat it must be useful. Great video!

I use the stool often at ropewalk to guide yarn from the roll through the hole. I stick knife after cutting in the same place. The stool also doubles as marudai. 😁

@@mikkosnellman I read a long time ago an old shellback swallowed the anchor, but he would still go to see the big sailing ship come into port. He would ask the bosun of the sailing ship for a fathom of his No.1 storm canvas to sew himself a new outfit.
