I am leaving here in about 45 minutes to pick up my new 2023 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited. I am very excited. I have been riding two wheels since 1971 and this will be my first three wheeler. I have a 2015 ElectraGlide Ultra Limited now, which is a great bike, but as I get older I notice that thing just gets heavier! At 73, I not ready to stop riding but I don't want to get hurt either, so the Can -Am looks like the way to go. Really appreciate your review, ride safe Brother!

In September I bought a new 2023 Can Am Spyder RT Limited and your videos sealed the deal for me when I was shopping in Austin, TX. Hit 1500 miles recently, have had NO problems and my wife and I are enjoying the heck out of it. I am a big guy with dropfoot on my left foot and so the bike has been a perfect fit for me, allowing me to bike, see the country and have fun. Thanks, Bob!

You represent BRP and the Spyder line so well. I am so happy that BRP is so cool with you being you and giving it to us straight. If I didn't already have one, you would have absolutely convinced me to buy a Spyder 10 times over. I'm going to miss Blue Belle but can't wait to see what's next! Also, heated grips on mine ae too hot even when it is 36 degrees 🥶

At my age 61 I still love riding my 2 wheel Road King Harley. But two years ago after becoming a subscriber of your channel I push the trigger and bought a 2020 RT Spyder Limited. Immediately I made a huge discovery.... My wife absolutely love riding with me as a passenger again. We have made some fun memories and planing many more as I am going to retired by the fall this year. The RTL is so easy to ride and lots of storage. I struggle a bit with the riding position been so straight. I find the F3 more likable similar of my Harley riding position. But I research the RTL is superior for passenger comfort long distance. I admit to think now and then on a Harley Tri glide. Such a gorgeous trike but for the next couple of years I am looking forward putting some miles on the RTL. Like always thank you for your knowledgable videos and advices. Maybe one day have a chance to meet you and lunch on me.

I bought a 23 Sea to Sky a month ago. I like the lowering windshield because on my 2011 RT, I’ve forgotten to lower the windshield when trailering the bike. I also had it broke down with a dead battery and couldn’t get power to it to lower the windshield to trailer it for repairs. I also agree with you keeping the helmet out of sight. I DO have a back trunk, and I keep my helmet inside it when parked.

Thank you, Johnny the Fox! CoachBob, sorry you are giving up Blue! Coach I'm happy owner of a 2022 RT Limited. I wish my RT had CarPlay. Working with BRP Go app and connecting with Cardo or Sena is painful. I don't understand way the BRP can't or won't update the software system via a firmware and bring the world up to speed with CarPlay. Thanks for continuing to share your Spyder experiences with us. Blessing to you and your family.

I really wanted to rent one but that wasn't possible in MA. I have had my fill and have it up for sale as of today.

Hey Coach Bob, after my beautiful white 2012 RT was written off in October I’ve bought myself a 2023 Spyder RT Ltd in Matt Black. It wasn’t brand-new, it had 750 miles on the clock. The dealer offered it to me with three years warranty, rise and lower bars and delivery to home. It has saved me nearly £8000 over buying a 2024 model. Of course I’m missing out on Apple CarPlay. So for another £169 I have added a CarPlay screen. £8000 is a lot of money and considering that there are no mechanical changes to the new model, I think I’ve done really really well. I am looking forward to putting a lot of miles on it this year and keeping a Vlog record of it. Man, this thing is a beast. The Can-am dealers here in the UK have proven to be outstanding so far. I’ll keep you up-to-date as to how it’s going. Love to you and Coach Vic and all of your wonderful family. Nathan, UK.

As an owner of a 2021 RTS I (almost) totally agree with you. They are well put together machines. The steering is phonominal for almost all use cases. I did find that riding 2 up through Colorado twisties there was some slightly uncomfortable leaning. I added the Baja Ron sway bars and the difference was notable even on the streets. I normally farcle out a machine but found no need on the spider. A phone holder, trickle charge plug and rear seat armrests (and now Baja Ron) are the only mods I have found I need.

I currently have a 22 RT Limited and to be honest… the sway bar I had installed prior to going to the Tail of The Dragon 0 / 5 / 23 really wasn’t noticeable, actually I think I could have saved a chunk of change and not had it installed. With that said I have heard mentioned that there is a huge noticeable difference with older bikes. Note: I did drive my bike for about a year before the sway bar install.

Stops on a dime and turns on a dime! I absolutely love the baja ron swaybar...made a world of difference for me in the twisties. Have to disagree on this one with you. For me, this one of the most "bang for my bucks" upgrades, but that's my opinion. Absolutely agree with you on the lighting. For some reason, the F3 grips do not get as warm as the RT grips.

  • @fire3048

Hi coach, kind of disagree on changing out the sway bar as I have on my 2022 RT ltd as I was having issues with getting moved around by passing semi trucks & when being hit by cross winds . After changing it out it was like riding a different bike! Plus I do think BRP should think about getting rid of all the reflectors & changing them out for lights, the visual effects are great & really good at night! I just want to be seen by other road users for my own safety! Otherwise everything is awesome. Best regards Stephen Alberta Canada.

I’m in Australia and brought a 2020 RT Ltd brand new. I love the Spyder and it makes travelling with my wife safe, comfortable and has plenty of storage. I’ve been bitterly disappointed with a few things including the rear trunk and seat struts failing within the warranty period, yet the dealer would only replace the struts the labour costs were on me. Side pannier cables seized and one snapped because they were not lubed during manufacture. Left hand side mirror loose, dealer said it normal and wouldn’t repair under warranty. Passenger seat turns off after 10 minutes, dealer said it’s functioning normally. Warranty (or lack there of) and after sales service has been a really bad experience for me. It’s a fantastic machine but severely let down by poor dealer service. Rant over, I’m heading back to the shed 👍

I throughly enjoy watching your videos. I don't own a cam am at the moment, however I'm looking to buy one in the next 3 mos.. my husband bought me a 2023 HD Freewheeler last year, my first ever experience with a motorcycle, and I'm not happy with it. My husband loves it but he has riden motorcycles all his life. I'm 72 and have a difficult time with the clutch lever and changing gears All the time. Up shifting and down shifting constantly . I either get cramps in my hands from the clutch or the brakes hand lever. It's just not for me. I think the Spyder would be perfect for me. I did test rode one and fell in love with it. My husband has a 23 RoadKing and wants me to have my own bike too. I wish we had known about the CamAm before he bought the Freewheeler. Thank you for the informational videos and your positive attitude about life in general. God bless you and your beautiful wife living your best life.

Like Bob, I've pretty much owned or extensively ridden every frig'n bike or bike type out there and my go to is still my 2019 Spyder RT Limited. My current stable is a Ducati Diavel, an FZ1, an Enduro, and, of course, the Spyder. The FZ is 150 hp, the Diavel is 162 hp, the Enduro is for climbing walls, but it's the Spyder I Hooligan on. I've upgraded all the two wheelers out the wazoo but have only added a Baja Ron, and a Pedal Box to the Spyder. I hated that Spyder with a passion for the first many thousand miles, I bought it so my wife would ride with me. She won't get near a two wheeler. Anyway, around 6000 miles the Spyder and I started to become one with that beast and there are very few bikes/riders who can do what I can do through the mountains, and especially the twisties in Colorado. I am constantly experimenting with the Spyder and I am constantly amazed at what it can do. I can be in the mountains/twisties for 150 miles or so and use a different technique on each curve, never repeating a single one. That's just an example of how amazing these machines are. I urge you all to go out there, push yourself and learn what these can do.

#CB3 Question. Garmin Zumo XT or XT2? 1/2" larger screen & an extra $100.. Is it price or are features worth it? I agree with the '23 RT Ltd, I've been bit B4 by buying 1st year model upgrades. Fortunately, it's only the screen and software. Software can be fixed. I am 68, lots of physical disabilities and am thrilled with my '23 RT Ltd! Was interested in the RT but the dealer quickly asked, you are planning to take your wife with you, right. Plus the heated seat and grips? In Connecticut? Not an upgrade, a necessity!

I disagree with you on the suspension part. The Sway bar and new endlinks will fix the front end sway. Night and day difference. Same with power. Guys have been asking for more power in the RT's for years. Fully loaded and pulling a trailer, it's just not enough power. 115HP in a 1330 motor is laughable to be honest. Braking has always been great on the spyders with the stock Brembo kits. I always run underglow and LED lights. More to be seen than anything else. I test rode an RT base a couple years ago. I did love how smooth it was. Very comfortable too. Thanks for being honest with all of your views. I'm glad BRP is being more receptive to criticism and listening to the customer base.

I anticipate a high learning curve with lots of on road practice, slowly building on the skills required.

Greetings Coach Bob. Any suggestions for a trailer? I purchased a Sea to Sky in November 23. April 24 I pick it up and I plan on taking it with me on family trips.

4:11 I talked to the Motomember dealer today 6/6/24. They are the largest can am dealer in North America. Located in mother Va. They said they’ve only gotten a few 2024 spyders this whole year. They said the Apple car play is not functional right now on the 2024. Not sure why. Called them bc I’m looking to buy a 2022/2023 spyder. Any advise?!
