Really hope you can do a comparison vs the Callaway Rogue ST LS vs the Stealth Plus 3 wood. Really like the shallow face of the Callaway LS to make it easier to hit off the deck.

Got a Sim 2 Max 3HL 16.5 in Ventus. I like the off-white top more than the Stealth. Also took the 5W out of the bag. Looking forward to learning different shots and getting comfortable with the scariest club in the bag. 😅

Stealth Plus would be an advantage to easily change shafts; loft adapter also better as well as smaller size

The regular looked a little closed to me at address. Have the regular driver and love it

Completely split on these. Was able to hit the standard version and I really enjoyed it.

I like the regular stealth over the plus. The ball absolutely explodes off the face. Didn’t get the same feel or results from the plus.

The stealth plus does suit higher swing speeds so that might be why?

Great review Mike. Sort of what I expected as far as the numbers go. My current SIM MAX 3 and 5 metals are the best fairways I’ve ever used and I’ve been playing nearly 30 years! I have them both in Evenflow Riptide 5.5 regular flex shafts. Will be curious to compare them to both stealth 🥷 and stealth plus !! UPDATE 13 January 2023: sold both after realizing they’re very inconsistent off the turf with their deep faces. Awesome off the tee but when I needed it off the fairway especially the 3 wood it was a crap shoot. The 5 out of the light rough was good but also too inconsistent with its deep face and pointer front edge. I bought Rouge ST max and a complete 180 degree difference. With its shallow face it’s incredibly easy and super consistent to hit it off the turf. Only hit them indoors on trackman and it didn’t hit one fat or bad. Also gained about 4-5 yards of carry distance over Sim max.

Any chance we can get your descent angles with these clubs?

I am in the market for a 3 wood but just can’t pull the trigger on one, just not sure what to get don’t have one now and not sure if its necessary

So you hit the stealth with 10 yards less carry than the Sim2 ti based on your test?

I’ll stick with my F9 3 wood refitted to my specs

Expecting your Stealth VS Rogue 3 Wood

I have learned to always go with the more forgiving and higher launching fairway wood as my miss is always bottom. This is part of the reason I play an 18 degree 5 wood instead of a 3 wood. Given my misses I average the same distance as a 3 wood but with less tendency for a hook which is my other big miss with the longer shafted clubs. The best golfer I know who really doesn't have any issues getting the ball in the air also plays a regular Sim2 3 wood because he says that for him it's the most difficult club in the bag to hit consistently off the ground and why handicap himself for a minute degree of additional work-ability that he can almost never actually use in the real world.

I also only have a 5 wood ( cobra f8 ) am definitely tossing around the idea of a 3 wood though

To anyone that reads this comment: does anyone know the shaft tip size for the steal 3 wood? I’m trying to buy a ventus velocore shaft to put into it but since it has no adapter I need to know the tip size. Thanks in advance.

Great video! I don’t find changing fairway woods that often necessary. Have a fairway that works for you. Technology in fairway woods don’t change much. I’ll stick to my Titleist 915F and Cobra F6 Baffler 5 wood.

The standard to me looks better and would fit me better. However I just am not impressed with the stealth woods. Thank you great video as always.

I think the Callaway Rogue LS fairway woods are more interesting this year. The Stealth is OK as a driver, but the fairway woods missed the mark for me.

Can you compare new Mizuno 3W vs old STZ 3W?

I think the glossy parts makes the clubs look cheap in combination with the matte black, horrendous design. Annoying that only one of the models has the adjustable hosel.

I think Taylormade have really missed the mark with the last few fairway wood releases. Basically if you don't want a toed in 3 wood, you have to spend £300+ for the titanium version. Either they should build the standard version square or just give us the adjustable hosel.

This is so true, would have bagged the last 3 versions if it wasn't so toed in..

Seems odd to say we have seen the death of titanium and we are in the carbon wood age then leave your expensive 3 wood with a titanium face. Presumably carbon faced 3 wood is after 21 years

The stealth plus is much longer, I've hit both at the store.

It would help a great deal with sound, feel, and performance if you would hit them out of the center of the face even once! He literally hit it out of the very bottom of the face 99% of his shots!

Just bought the 3 wood and absolutely despise this club. Never feels like a good hit with it, feels clunky. Just overall not satisfied with it. Very unforgiving if you’re not dead middle on impact.

Just go cobra, simple.....👍👍 thanks me later..

The sound on the stealth plus is terrible. The worst sounding fairway I’ve ever hit. Club goes but sounds like shit
