Thanks for watching the Golfalot TaylorMade Stealth vs Callaway Rogue ST Max fairway woods review

Great review Sophie. Really helped as I have played TM for years & was not even testing the Rogue until I saw this. Once I did it was a wow moment! So easy to hit & forgiving. As someone who tends to leak shots right the draw bias is also a great help for me at least. Callaway for me!
Just ordered the rogue 5 wood. I’m so excited, I prefer the look and feel of it.
Love the little smirk when you mentioned the marketing from these two companies. Great review Sophie. Thank you.
It makes me happy I bought a used sim 2 max 3 wood. I got it for 50% retail price back in December 2021
excellent review again as always Sophie even tho I can't afford any clubs in any of your reviews still can't help but watch as u spot on in every one of them amazing details
Today, March 26th, I tried these two fairway woods and the Ping 425. I ended up buying the Callaway because I was more accurate with it. Looking forward to finding out how it plays on the course on the 28th. Thanks for this review, Sophie.
Thank you for this timely review, I'm testing Fairway woods tomorrow👍 I haven't had a Fairway Wood in my Bag for 2/3 years as I always struggled to get a 3Wood airborne (off the deck) and the ball always goes RIGHT, so I currently game a Driver and then a 19deg Hybrid. The left bias of the Rogue would appear ideal for my Senior's swing it's just a question of whether it's a 3,4 or 5 Wood loft so that I can get the ball up off the grass. PS As the Rogue has an adjustable neck sleeve golfers not wanting/needing the draw bias could always change the face angle setting.
Great video Sophie. I hit three different 5-woods today (TM Stealth, Callaway Rouge ST Max, Ping G425 Max) and came away with the same experience as you mentioned in the video. Stealth and Rouge about the same distance, with the G425 a few of yards behind. The Ping was the most forgiving, with the least offline shots. The Callaway definitely had the most draw bias of the three. Still not sure which one to put in the bag. Callaway feel and sound was number one. Ping was most forgiving. If my goal is to look good on the course with those long fairway shots, I would go with the Callaway. If I want a lower score, with less height, distance, and offline shots, I would go with the Ping. Life is all about choices. Thanks again for a great video!

Update: I purchased the Callaway Rouge ST Max 5-wood and it is fantastic! I have never hit a fairway wood as good as I hit the ST Max! (Notice the two exclamation points at the end of those sentences.) I hit the ST Max 5-wood so good I went and bought the ST Max 7-wood. As someone who could barely hit a fairway wood, I highly recommend these! Transformed that part of my game.
I appreciate your honesty in your reviews
Callaway Rogue ST Max all the way for me - shallow face (easy launch), stunning face loft markings, great stock shaft (Tensei Blue is a better fairway shaft than a driver shaft IMO). Taylormade Stealth is using a Ventus Red stock shaft (non velocore model) and it is very soft, even in stiff flex, head looks massive and it always sits open for mine.
I was at a demo day last week and got fitted in to the Stealth plus 3 wood loved the smaller head and stronger flight
I would like to see what a carbon faced 3 wood might look like after a few rounds of hitting some fat shots off the turf.
Great review Sophie thank you
I’ve purchased both the Stealth Plus in 15* and the Rogue ST LS in 15*. Both have the same shafts (Ventus Blue 7X) are great off the tee. However for me I like the Callaway because it’s sits flatter for the off the deck shots into par 5’s. That’s where I struggle as off the tee they both will have help being off the ground. But on those 2nd shots the Callaway seems to sit down more to give me more confidence to hit it off the ground. If you just need it for tee shots then both will work wonders but if you need it to hit into long par 4’s or par 5’s, for me the Callaway worked better.
Thank you for your honest opinion. I was disappointed the Stealth fairway woods did not have a carbon face. If the carbon face is the technology of the future and the future is now why is the carbon face not on the fairway woods? I believe you are correct that we will see the carbon face on the fairway woods next rendition. I will keep my wallet closed until then on the fairway woods. I have the Stealth driver. I played my first round with it today and I am very satisfied with it. For me, longer and the dispersion was tight. I have been playing Ping410 Plus for two+ years and I was satisfied especially with the dispersion. I am picking up more distance 10 plus yards today with the Stealth and most importantly the ball is in the fairway.
Just got a Cobra offset 3W with the 50 gram stiff shaft. I reckon it's better for most weekenders than either of these. The carbon crown of newer fairways definitely helps with height and carry.
I love your reviews
Stealth for me, nice review as always👍
Great review, the "Rogue", with my slice , is just what the Doctor ordered.
I currently use the Stealth 3 and it's a killer , very powerfull - definitively a weapon to carry in your bag
Good no nonsense review
Ditched the G425 lst for the rogue max 3 wood and I won’t be going back. Love it 🔥
hi the new stealth 2's just came out...... which would you choose between the standard stealth 3HL ( 4 wood ) or the new Stealth 2 3HL.....your thoughts ? also want to get a 7 wood and a 5 Hybrid........ which do you suggest stealth or the NEW Stealth 2's........ 58 years old...90-94 mph driver speed...regular shaft....thx cheers from Canada
I have the Sim 2 fairway wood and love it. I don't think it's worth switching.
Great review, Callaway for me I 🤔 think.
I have a Sim Max 3 and 5 woods Best fairway metals I’ve ever played. My choice would be standard Stealth !
Thank you for the review. I was comparing the Sim 5 wood to the Stealth 5 wood today, and it was enough to seal a deal. One thing I will say is that my Sim D type was 19 degrees, and the Stealth is at just 18 degrees. I do have a Sim 3 wood at 15* but I don't hit that club as often. Not only, did I find an enhanced feel in the stealth, but the spin rate was much lower by around 800 revs. (3800 with the stealth and 4400 with the Sim D type). My launch angle was much better with that stealth at around 18 degrees and the Sim D type was closer to 22 degrees. Also, with the stronger loft I was getting close to 10 sometimes 12 yards of carry. I just hope I don't out carry the Sim 3 wood with stealth 5 wood at this point. Very excited to get some turf interaction with the stealth, I did notice the face had been shallowed out a bit compared to prior generations which I really enjoy. Still feel very confident behind the ball in both models which is why I'm sticking with Taylormade.

You mentioned the stealth had a shallower face than previous taylormade fairway woods did this help you launch it higher from the deck? Especially in comparison to your sim clubs you mentioned. Thanks

@@julianaguilar4134 I noticed a massive improvement with the v steel technology and the way the sole of the club interacts with the turf. It does allow the ball to launch a bit easier. It's more confidence inspiring at set up and address.

@@Ready_Golf thank you for all that. I'm a big fan of shallow faces on fairway woods so I wasn't a big fan of the sim and sim 2 max fairway woods for that reason but I might give the stealth a try if they're a lot shallower and easier to launch. Thank you for all your help.
I think my Epic 3 wood looks better than these two. Thank you for testing outdoors in January Sophie. Stealth for me of these two. I agree carbon must be the next step for Taylormade in their woods and then hybrids.
Stellar! 👍🇸🇪
I have the Stealth Plus Driver but the Rogue ST Max 3 wood. Love them, but wouldn't switch them
I played a full round with the Rogue 5 wood and thought it elevated well, but looked closed at address, and ALWAYS went left. I played a couple of rounds with a Stealth 3 wood demo and it was much easier to hit straight. For me the distance that I hit the club is less important (within reason) than whether or not I can elevate it easily and hit it straight. In my case Taylormade wins by a mile.

I tried both and preferred the look and feel of the rogue 5 wood. But both clubs are top of the line…
As someone who is a 4 handicap but plays a natural draw and doesn't spin it loads its so hard to find a suitable fairway as most max version are draw biased but give more spin which I need and the low spin versions sit nice but don't suit my launch characteristics... any suggestions would be appreciated

Try the tsi2 fairway woods
I receive my Rogue st max d 5 wood tomorrow
the shallower face Callaway for the win … for me
I buy on looks alone, so the Rogue wins out for me. Head on the Stealth is too shiny.
No to the toed in. No to the draw bias. My miss is left.
Good Job Sophie. (!) You are right. 1)Taylormade will probably come out with the carbonface 3W next year, and 2)the current Stealth 3W is nothing more than a 'black' SIM (2) Max D.
Cobra are the same they put the same technology in there fairway as there Driver. Taylormade is just a sim 2 only true Taylormade lovers would buy it
I agree100% with the Rogue being the better choice as Taylormade will more than likely come out with another one shortly with yes the red carbon face, just to get one more club out there rather than make a good, stable product.
Basically the same club, just different cosmetic.
Rogue not even close!.!.!.!
