I go way back with the Goo Goo Dolls from 1987 till 1995 I used to go see them all the time and used to get drunk and do backing vocals it was good times glad they found success.

I’m 27. Discovered these guys in 2005 if I remember correctly. Been obsessed ever since. They write some of the most addictive songs. Just takes me into a time machine every single time I hear one of their songs still to this day. They’re phenomenal. Die hard fan.

These guys are just phenomenal. I don’t know what else to say. They always come back into my life when I’m not even thinking about them and I’m just like “ahh, this is what music is supposed to be” and then I’m hooked again for several months and the cycle continues like that. Probably will until I’m dead.

I lived in an apt across the street from their apt which was above the Essex St. Pub. We were all fans before anyone knew about them...

You can hear in majority of the 90s bands how much the Beatles inspired them, in this song you can hear it big time.

Easily my top 5 favorite Goo Goo Dolls songs. Goo Goo Dolls is my favorite band!!!

Nothing like some Boy Named Goo content in mid-2021! Taking us back to the old days when Name was the GGDs first big single and the Goos rocked out more! Love the new stuff, love the old stuff, love everything inbetween, but it sure is nice to hear some BNG. Flat Top is a great song!

Such Great lyrics. And to think that when this song was written you seen this going on in the world of television and entertainment here and there. But today.... Well it's every channel all the time. This song was almost a prophecy. But of course if you were paying attention back then it was a pretty easy prediction to make. Either way the song is poetry and I love it. It explains the world we now live in perfectly.

I love the Goo Goo Dolls! I love the style and thier voices. I saw them 3 times. Once in 2012 again in 2015 and a final time in 2022. I was born in 2005.

George had just been canned as the drummer in 1994, and Mike who replaced him left the band in December 2013. According to their staff on Boxes and Miracle Pill, it has Craig McIntyre as the drummer.

From the album A Boy Named Goo released on March 14th, 1995. Flat Top is the fourth track on the album after Long Way Down, Burnin' Up, and Naked. Afterwards it is Impersonality, Name, Only One, Something Bad, Ain't that Unusual, So Long, Eyes Wide Open, Disconnected, and Slave Girl. The latter two replaced a song written by ousted drummer George Tutuska titled Stand Alone.

I think the song Flat top should be remastered. To me the first half of the song is Amazing but it drags out kinda motionless to the end. I think if John & robby cut the ending down & shorten it up . And mabey do a simple new ending,& make a new video with the people today wearing the same kind of cloths and haircuts ect.... And put out the video as if it's a new song.... It would be cool to see . But all eyes on me & Flat top are just a few of my many favorites of this band. I got to see them with Vanessa Carlton & third eyes blind. Long ago in Boca Raton I believe. We drove next to the tour bus until Georgia. Don't remember the year though. Love you guys forever 😎🤘
