Gonna Settle Down - Bluegrass Jam
Музыка
Here is a clip from a killer session at the house this past weekend. When musicians of this caliber gather together... Good grooves are made. So sit back & enjoy honest bluegrass music
The band

John Meyer - guitar / vocals
Mary Meyer Pafford - mandolin / vocals
Russ Carson - banjo
Blake Pitney - bass
All the best and keep rollin,
RC

The best music you will ever hear is just like this, a jam where everyone is comfortable and just having fun. Great job !!!

100% agree! Much better than anything in a studio. Much more raw heart.
I can't believe people still make this beautiful music. How our times have changed, this is amazing music.
Who would give a thumbs down on that???? Really good music and vocals!
Really proud of these young people. First rate bluegrass music. A lot of talent here. Better than most imo.

Awesome!
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OutSTANDING !!!!
I D.J.'d for thirty years playing Country, Gospel, and Bluegrass..Worked for Mel Tillis and bubba earl. This young man has more talent in that Martin Guitar than most recording artists in this day and time.... Loved his story of Loydd Green. Loydd used to live in my hometown of Mobile, Alabama. Mo, keep striving son.... It's gonna pay off if we can get New York out of Nashville. Ricky Barnes
Excellent pro-level musicianship and singing by all. Russ Carson on banjo is amazing. John Meyer also plays great banjo but Russ is on another planet . He even plays with his eyes closed much of the time. Four star performance, better than the original.

dlagrua , hit that one on the head.
The home sessions were where all the best music happened. The hair was let down and the coffee was hot and the smiles flowed freely! So did the tunes! How sweet it was/is. Thanks!

Awesome Job Guys! Have watched & listened to several of your videos in a row, this morning, & I'm just loving your Rhythm, Timing & Tone!!! There ain't nothin' like a rock-solid Bass & Rhythm Guitar, (or Guitars), working together, & your playing is just that! ROCK SOLID!!! Love your vocals as well, btw! It's obvious that you all have done your homework, & when it comes your both your singing AND playing, you DEFINITELY know how to do it right!! Keep it going, guys!!!
Oh that is just wonderful!! Love the harmony & great voices. Keep it coming! I'm going to keep listening to this over and over. You have something here - the band is wonderful with Mo's voice - perfect combination.

Nothing sounds better either. No recording can reproduce the sound of a live jam in a small space.
That's the real deal right there 👍👏👏✌️
fantastic banjo sound..
^^ perfect harmony
Over Mo’s shoulder, that must be his wife, Emily, holding their kid. She is on fine musician. She broke up her family’s band to marry Mo and support his career. They just had a second kid.

awsome
Sounds good Mo .. i am bluegrass player myself, 50 years and still plunking strings
Hey Y'all! I've been playing D35 and Kay Marquis Bass over 50 years and Lester Raymond Flatt must've wrote this song and "Cabin in Carolina" the same day!!! Almost identical chord progressions and melody. Can't remember the times I'd start this one and slip into the other song. Duh!! Ever happen to you guys?
Russ, your hair is fantastic.
This is a great jam!
Great job folks..... waiting to hear more from you all
Thank you all but as a banjo player love Russ pickin
what the kind of singing on the chorus is Johnny Meyer doing , it's so amazing to me. It's like a higher octave that he's singing really intensely. Do more artist do that ?
Great!
Love it you all sound so good! 💗🎶👍
Great stuff! I first heard this song on "The Bluegrass Album" with Tony Rice and a host of other greats, and this version was just as good.
That is some sweet picking on the banjo. And who knew Maggie from the Walking Dead could rock the mando?
