@@JamesArchbold OR not being pushed too hard. The 'fart' was the engineer's solution to rev matching with a super fast change. Basically, don't fire spark plug in that cylinder, so gas 'explodes' when it hits hot exhaust, causing the 'fart' noise. kzread.info/dash/bejne/damjpJVvZbu-mso.html

the normal golf r with the dsg automatic gearboxes make those noises from factory

I don't want to be a prick but how are you supposed to own a 300hp+ in London? Streets seems to be very short and too crowded. I would be shitting myself if I had to do a launch control to 100kmh in my GTI with so many cars reversing out of no fucking where and people crossing streets right in the corner with almost no space to manuever

James Archbold fair enough guess it depends on the Car too. For something like a golf R I’d lease for an Rs3 with my chosen options i would finance.

American muscle= 6mpg VW = 25+mpg Fuel in UK isnt as cheap as us so not everyone can afford a car that has an appalling mpg
