This early 1981 Golf mk1 GLI came into Resto Designs this week, the customer has had this sitting around for about 5 years and really would like it back up and running again.

Got my cabin air filter box at the start of the week arrived in fine condition and seems way more sturdy than i expected, have not been at my car so have not tried to install it. But i am happy so far. keep up the weird mk2 bits printing :)

Boa tarde Sir Também sou um apaixonado por esta máquinas. Desculpe por estar a fazer esta pergunta, mas acredito que me possa ajudar. Tenho um golf 1 GTI com mecânica KR do golf 2. Estou com problemas na caixa velocidades, faz barulho só em 5° v. Ou talvez me possa aconçelar a onde posso encontrar uma para substituir. Obrigado pelos vídeos e concelhos. I've just been trying to fit new anti roll bar bushes and brackets on the rear axil of my mk1? Those outer Bush brackets OMG , I've gave up after 3 hours ? Any tips ????,

Found this for you kzread.info/dash/bejne/n5qI0byhh8Kwfto.html funny it's in Portuguese but you'll get the idea, you will need to have both rear wheels off the ground so as not to have the rear beam "in twist" if that makes senes.

O carro está a usar um volante motor mk1 em vez do volante de motor mk3. As marcas não coincidem por esse motivo. O facto de não trabalhar, leva-me a querer que seja o trigger da bobbine (que se converte para dar rotação) pode estar com algum defeito e não deixa a bomba de combustível ligar.

Boas, a bomba está sempre ligada com a ignição ligada e com o motor parado 🤔
