    This makes so much sense. That’s also why I’m hitting it fat when I don’t come out of posture.

    Your "exact reasons" and "root cause" really helps to understand what is going on with my golf swing. I've been standing up in my posture in an effort to get a bit more distance lately.. Ur explanations really help me to realize what I've been doing incorrectly. Thanks.

    Just discovered your channel, it’s excellent thanks! Question: you mention it’s important to keep the chest down and rotating. This is in line with the focus of a body swing rather than swinging with the arms and hands which can mess up the downswing sequence. Can you please explain any preference in focusing on the lower body turning as opposed to the chest. I’ve found it helpful focusing on turning the belt buckle through towards the target. (I struggle with coming over the top, but also have a stunted follow thru). Cheers, Pete

    As you start your down swing will keeping your elbow down n ahead help shallowing the club ? Great tips, so darn happy I found your site

    Absolutely, moving the trail elbow in front of your body in transition will encourage the shat to shallow 👍🏼

    Wish you would do another segment concentrating more on that exercise and going through the entirety of it slowly, thoroughly, while explaining how we can make this part of our daily training. My shoulders are suffering from two torn rotator cuff a and my attempt to to do this became a full fledge effort / workout but something tells me this could be the ultimate drill to master. You make it look so easy of course but I have a hunch of you can master this at home for say twenty minutes a day something good must emerge from the practice tee as a result. I'm looking for maybe one or two drills tops to begin with and perfect to the best of my ability, and then after months of consistent daily home training using this drill that the results may be profound, GIVEN, that we're performing the drill properly and consistently, as there are bad moves that could creep in there which through your instruction would inform us of what to be in the lookout for when training, using a mirror to get optimal feedback and results. So if you could do a deep dive on this drill, and how to properly train with it, I think the results could become quite compelling. For all of us. Thanks 🙏

    I do this feel on the range and course. It does work but it also makes me hit really high iron shots. Seems like I loose distance. Contact though is money. Any tips to lower ball flight?

    There will most likely be another problem there. If your adding loft, the best place to start is to check if your club face isn’t too open 👍🏼

    Hi Jonathan, I have a tendency to stand up (losing my posture) during the backswing. Is there any way/drill to fix that?

  • @vareast

    Good stuff. But I do think that KZread coaches should sometimes use dummies like me who have little control over their bodies and end up duffing too many shots. The trouble is with you pros is that even when you're trying to play a bad shot, you always look like you know how to play a perfect shot. If you saw my swing (my friends call me the 'Shapeshifter'), you'd be more surprised that my body actually stays in one piece as I go through my range of motions. I need consistency (last time out, I went 43-55).....

    I lift up cuz I'm too inside😐

  • @jchowngolf

    @jchowngolf

    2 жыл бұрын

    That most likely won’t be your root cause to lifting up as raising up causes the club to fall more on the inside. A reactionary fault like this is the brains effort to hit the ball to target as efficiently as possible with other faults. Dumping the club more under in reaction to an inside swing path won’t be the root cause 👍🏼
