I have only been a golf mate for a month or so. During that time I have watched a number of videos and have been dismayed to watch your driver swing deteriorate; constantly being rescued by your excellent iron and short game play. Please continue to work with Mr. Mckinnon because if can consistently stay im the short grass, scratch is not out of the question. I am a teacher Stateside and think Mr. Mckinnon's coaching style and methods are superb. Love being a GolfMate!

Great lesson from Dave, I really needed it. I know I’ve gotten into a rut the last two weeks with my driver.

I have said this before, and will continue to say it, Dave's instruction is so clear, concise and effective. He is, for me, by far the best coach on KZread, shame he is a little too far from London to get lessons with!

ORKA I could listen to Dave the pro all day. He always keeps it simple & easy to understand.

Wonderful information and really enjoy when you and Dave collaborate to help all of us “non-golfers”! Keep up the great work mates! 👍👍

Enjoyed this video...I've always struggled with turning my hips and getting them "out of the way"...this was the first tip that I heard about getting closer to the ball in order to let my body basically get out of its own way...makes perfect sense.

ORKA Brilliant again from Dave!! Easy to understand instruction for fault & fix is magic for this 11 handicapper. I hover my putter and will try to hover my driver now that I can practice in our nets then take it to the course. Thanks guys

Great lesson, not over complicated like a lot of instructions out there, just simple drills to follow to improve your (my) driving

"ORKA" Would love to see Dave give Mr Barlow a lesson or two. That would be painfully funny. Maybe Dave would pick up a few tips on how to do the soft hand scoopy woopy drop shot. Did I mention "ORKA"?

Oh wow brilliant tips,i actually use the lagging pipe drill at the range dave gave me that drill to use & the hip turn drill he showed me last monday in my playing lesson it takes a while to get into it but it does work been hitting my irons a lot better since using that drill.

The one about staging the backswing at the right knee seems to get me much more center strikes

Just discovered my second hand clubs are not a standard length and neither are my arms (for my height!) I think I could definitely do with a fitting! ORKA! Always learn something new when Alex is on the Channel!

A very clear & helpful video which should help many players. Two of the tips were new to me & they will definitely help me. Starting the swing from opposite your right toe does get me to hit the ball on the up. Moving too close to the ball is a great drill to help you turn. If you can persuade Dave to give further excellent tips your viewing figures should really increase. I made some written notes so I can refer back to them. Dave has the ability to give simple ,clear, easy to follow advice.

Fantastic tips, I’ve used 2 tips from this video, (grip and the extra widening my stance) added straightness and 20 yards to my driving!!! Thanks to Dave. I’m new to the channel, loving all the videos!

Well again, very timely instructional for me. For the past few months, I’ve been thinking ‘Why am I inconsistent with my driver, as far as slicing is concerned, and why have I been winding up my fingers occasionally when I hit it?’ I began using a new (to me) Taylormade M4 driver, replacing a much older driver. Big improvement! But one of the first tips in this video, showing more knuckles on my right hand (your left) well maybe that was causing me to wind up my grip. The afternoon after watching this, off to the driving range. First thing, after warming up with a few irons, out comes my driver and I try the new grip, which seemed more relaxed and less ‘iron-handed. Well I saw improvements immediately. This small change allowed me to begin hitting center of range right off the reel. Excellent, can’t wait to try it on the course next week. Thanks for posting this which, in turn, I forwarded straight on to my daughter. Between this sort of valuable instruction and the opportunity to watch the Golf Mates just playing golf, this is my number one channel. Thanks.

Good info. I hover the club head myself. I also do a little swing back and forth to waist high on a path that I want to have the shaft travel -- inside to out. Hitting more fairways.

Ive watched hundreds of coaching videos by so called teaching experts but got to say Dave is by far the best. He makes thjngs simple and clear. Great tips coz I come over the top as well. I like the hover and placing the driver behind the ball a foot in order to get the sweeping motion. Great stuff!!
