I installed a lift kit and wheels on my buddy's golf cart. It was a fun project, so I thought I'd share it here on the interwebs.
2006 Club Car DS
- Jakes Economy 4 inch lift kit.
- Rear Heavy Duty Leaf Spring - Dual Action
- Club Car Rear Shock (For Gas 1997+, Electric 1981+)
- 12 inch FANG Machined/Black Aluminum Wheels
- 20x10-12" All Terrain Tires

Doing the same DS 4 inch lift. Put HD springs on already.
Thanks a lot. I've got the same cart except 48 volt electric. Going to di my own lift. Where did you order that kit at? Very helpful video, wasn't sure if I could do it but pretty sure I can now. Thanks again

Thanks Larry! Its probably a good 12-14 inches. Id measure it for you but the cart is at my buddy's RV park.
Wow! I can't believe anyone would want to cut their frame in half just to install a lift. What a waste of a perfectly good cart.

What is the overall height and length of your golf cart now.
I wonder if those frame z pieces make the frame less stiff since the flanges are gone?

I think they do reduce lateral stiffness. I thought about welding a perpendicular piece to it to retain stiffness, but from the reviews on the kit, nobody noted any issues.
12 inch tires Performance Tire you don't have to bring it make up 1 in inch

Must be a 20x10x12 tire? Cause I tried getting a 23x10.50x12 on and it rubs

Those rear shocks are pointless with heavy duty leaf springs in the back..just an fyi

I didnt order the parts, my friend did. But i believe it was a wheel and tire package from Jakesliftkits.com

They didn't send templates with my kit

My golf cart won't work
