    Love how the 1st lady was saying it was abusing the tax payer money but had no problem taking the tax payers money by winning a huge lawsuit...why not instead say how about you fix these problems by such date or we will sue...bet the city would of done it but no you gotta sue 1st how about all those disabled people donate the money to a certified company to help fix all the problems they say there is and most of what they say is wrong isn't even places they probably ever visit...they just want to sue without ever giving a huge city to try to fix the problem 1st and then the city has less money instead has to pay you and focus on your one problem then multiple problems they face...

    I agree, all sidewalks should have some form of access for a wheelchair to get on, however I don’t agree with the guy going to the park, he expects us to spend thousands of dollars to have a path just for him so he has a straight ride to the park. What about the next person the street up, are we going to build a path for them too? No he wants a direct path then it should be out of his own pocket. Currently he has access to the park, it may not be the route he wants to go but there is a route.

    Katherine Elaine When I worked in the concrete business from 2008-12 it was so bad that these mistakes are just a mere fraction of what actually goes on with these ada ramps. Inspectors were rarely present if at all. Engineers design ramps on plans that are non compliant and say just put them in anyway. A lot of contractors bidding public work makes for a slim profit margin as is. What a shit show it was. All I’m going to say is it all looks good on the surface so that’s all that matters.

    Funneling money to the unions takes priority over helping the disabled. If they have to tear out the work and do it over, that's more money for the unions, and more union campaign contributions to the politicians.

    At that point the city and the people responsible of overseeing these projects including the union of the workers that were doing these projects should be the ones coming out of pocket to fix these and not taxpayers considering we pay for it already. Honestly that's the problem they do this shit on purpose knowing they can get another check from taxpayers.

  • @Jeredvanhouten
    @Jeredvanhouten5 жыл бұрын

    I think that is just wrong. As a contractor if I screw up I don’t get charged a customer twice for my mistake. The only way to fix this issue is to ensure that when they finish a job it is check and if it is done right, they are paid. Otherwise do it again on their dime. Otherwise the city should just hire external contractors as they can be held liable for shoddy work and won’t charge the city twice. Good for David Goldstein for this story. If anyone objects imagine going to a restaurant and ordering a meal, it comes and is horrible so they make you another meal, second one is much better. Then you get a bill for two meals. Would you pay that?
