Your the only channel that actually do video of you fishing and show all detail when fishing and show part cooking them when I try watch other videos of catch and cool it’s like they don’t do it right or it’s just clickBait they only show cook part and like 5 second of the catch but you do it perfect 👌🏼

There is a Samoan family that lives near me and one of the guys goes fishing all the time at a local spot where there are trout. We both were fishing one day and he asked me if I keep my trout and eat them, I told him I do occasionally. He asked me how I prepared it and I told him usually fried in a skillet (I feel like the oven dries them out). He then invited me over to his place and to bring the trout I caught that day. So I went over and he flamed up his grill, we stepped inside to his kitchen after we prepared the fish and I swear this dude worked some magic lol. He put butter, some seasonings, herbs and all kinds of stuff inside the trout, wrapped it in foil and put it on the grill. I can't remember how long we let them cook, but it kicked new life into that fish. The flavor was amazing and the texture was unreal. The fish was flaky, moist and cleanly crumbled off the little bones. We moved, so it's sad to say I haven't eaten another piece of fish that tasted as good as that trout.

We have trout over here very similar to those only difference is there have a bright red stripe down them we call them lightning trout amazing eaters

A few years ago my dad took my to a trout break for the second time, there were brown trout, small rainbows, goldens; big rainbows, and Atlantic salmons. (The first time the brown trouts were replaced with brook trouts, aka my first fish ever caught) The brook/brown trout I’d say were intermediate, rainbows trouts were beginner, Atlantic’s salmons were for strong people, and the golden trouts were for patient people. Golden trout was the hardest. Both times I was there, nobody caught one, one time there were 5 people (excluding me) fishing in their area and kept getting nothing, but I knew the trick. All I did was sit down, cast and don’t move my rod, and bam, I caught one. Sorry for the long story, for things like these I have to share!

Joshua Burton you must realize that that fish is actually a golden rainbow trout or palomino trout (whichever they stocked, basically the same thing anyway) are literally genetically just yellow rainbow trout. They are the exact same besides color

Dan Blumel nah There’s a difference between albino and palomino/golden rainbow trout. Albino are genetically deficient of skin pigments and will have red eyes. Palomino/golden rainbow are selectively bred and crossbred. I could get deep into genetics but I assure you they are different

I caught a polimeno when I was around 6 or 7 on my grandpas rod when he walked away and asked me to watch it... it was on salmon eggs too!!! I was the first one to catch a polimeno (reported first person) in 10 years at this lake campsite so it was very cool and best trout I ever ate

They call those golden trout Lightning Trout here in Southern California, I’ve heard they fight harder but never caught one.

That was another great video. I have never caught a golden trout or a palomino trout. But I would like to someday. And I appreciate all your content and the cooking and everything else you do. I just can't wait to see more updated videos recent videos from you and your brother and your dad.
