mary10000 I think it because the states forgot about them. They didn’t try to reproduce radar love or twilight zone. They played all over the spectrum and radio stations don’t like that. I actually think they were ahead of their time. They need more exposure. Their musicianship is off the charts.

Anyone who did not take the opportunity to grow up with this band lost out on a whole wonderful world of music that no one else was doing... ie though, that first song is not Candy's going home. It is Candy's going bad!!!!! We all would like to thank Golden earring for all of their efforts for the many, many, many years of musical joy that they brought into our lives. God bless them and God bless. George.. could not imagine growing up in my life in this world not being one of their biggest fans... I GET IT!

I can't think of many better ones I've heard or seen live. But everyone has a right to his opinion. If you stumble upon lives solos you deem better than this one here, please post it. I'm sure we'll all be grateful, even if it means you proved us wrong. :-)

Well, now, nugent is not much anyway, it never was. But, GE have blown away a lot of good bands. They are the Dutch top band. With Boeyen's Vitesse and Brood they were the top 3 big, bigger, biggest bands in the world of Holland. Too bad non of them had a breakthrough in the USA. GE had a great hit with Radar Love, and that's was it. The Cats had two records in the US and also didn't got the change to break through big time !

No one does it like the Earring. I've been a fan since ;Moontan', and the internet has helped me to see and hear a lot of stuff that I'd missed along the way. This '82 video is a great example. As for George's guitar work, I think he's definitely one of the most underrated axemen in rock, probably because of the relative obscurity in the U.S. of the band. Cesar is also an amazing drummer. Who am I kidding? The whole band rocks!!!!!

I grew up listening to the album Moontan while my mom played this epic record. In the past five years I have researched Golden Earring a lot. Incredibly talented and underappreciated in America, they are the longest lived rock band starting in 1962, still touring and very popular in Scandinavian countries and The Netherlands where they are from. This Rockpalast show is my favorite live performance of theirs', playing most of their best songs and in their prime. George Koomans is an amazing guitarist and song writer who learned a lot from Jimmy Page while touring with Led Zeppelin in the early 70s.

Still remember in 1973 driving a 67" Chevelle Malibu four on the floor, Kragar mags,V/8, Sun Tach, Banana Yellow with black roof, Large round amber flood lamps down low. Riding in the wee hours of the morning & this tune playing on the radio.. Resembled what I was doing....

MrMatthiasSchneider The Song was released some weeks after this concert had been recorded. So the 'worktitle' was probably "when the bullet hits the bone. The song originally was written by George Kooymans for his solo album. The Earring wanted to quit in those days and George already made plans for his solo album. They decided to make one last album ( Cut) and George used this song for te recording sessions. Then it became a huge hit, and they played on and on and on ...... ;)

I've Loved the Earring since I heard the Live version of "....Strange Wings" on the Rock History L.P back in '82. Finally got to see them play in London in 2007... and they Rocked!I caught Cesar's Drumstick after Radar Love Drum Solo. Rinus did his crazy Bass Solo too. 40 or so Dutch fans invited back stage, plus me and maybe only one other British Fan. They really appreciated the feedback from us and were all very friendly Guys. (The warm~up Gig in Ipswitch the previous night has been Posted on KZread a while back). Still think George is the most Handsome Man in Rock n Roll.

From me old neighbourhood in The Hague. No tattoos, no bling bling, no sunglasses or hookers, just play without any playback or fancy talk. Very classy display. Real Rockers, you wont find them anymore these days with all that rap crap.

Regarding John King's comment (4 years in this case), music lovers that are stuck on one continent ( and you know which one) seem to wake up way to late to discover what has been going on years ago. But that's OK ...ROCK AND ROLL NEVER DIES..

Dynamic, unsurpassed hard hitting mind captivating listening, and they inspire immense creativity. HOT looking guys, (GOOD GOD) Just amazing, they might be my most fav in the world ,a bold statement, in this big rocking dirtball, carved in stone AND SHAKING FOREVER, by the Earring. I ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT MADE IT TURN JUST RIGHT, DAY TO NIGHT, RIGHT ON TIME LOL. Had they HAD LONGER HAIR, all the girls would have just died right there, that night.
