Fabulous Paul - would love to do this but way too much on my plate currently and finding it hard to commit to things. Catch up with you later this year. PS thanks for the tip about Deer Hunter jackets - bought one and it did me proud during a wet and windy stay on Lindisfarne.

I saw a Golden Eagle flying straight for me in the Lake District - it was a warm, sunny Spring morning when it swooped in below the pine trees just above my family's heads. Only seen one since and that was in Scotland through binoculars. (PS: also saw a captive GE at Alnwick Castle, but I don't think that really counts)

I don't think the Golden Eagles have been in the Lake District for a good few years now but I maybe wrong

@@paulfowlie1966 It was a good few years ago, approximately 20 years. At least I got to see this beautiful bird in the wild during my lifetime, albeit fleetingly.

Enjoyable as ever. Thanks. Would appreciate a little more info regarding the images. What lenses. How far away are the birds etc. Done that sort of temps when in SaxZim bog in USA in February . Damn site colder than Anglesey 🥶🥶🥶

Hi Paul…it was an excellent trip. Thoroughly recommended if you haven’t even out to Sweden for the golden eagles. I got some great images and Paul was a great host and leader. Thank you Paul and until the next time. Take care . Matt
