I may don't understood what the judges were saying but maybe they were praising the contestant and he deserve the golden buzzer.. The performance was a goose bumps

I think it depends on where they are in their career. Celine still has some tone, but I'm sure she took lessons in English. His mouth and throat were very tight through most of the song, until it soared just near the end.

Nicely done. Please include English subtitles so we can understand his story.

He truly sang with so much emotion & passion he definitely brought me to tears. I honestly wish they spoke in English so I knew what was being said about his backstory as well as what the judges were saying. I definitely enjoy watching the French Version better than the others because it seems more authentic. When one of the episodes had subtitles it went to fast & I missed too much of what was being said.

He's an auto body painter who had been hiding his singing talent, and his wife, who is also his best friend, encouraged him to take part in FGT. He was very stressed and the judges were giving him pep talks before he sang. Then he blew them all away!

He paints cars for a living, has hidden his passion for singing from everyone his whole life, his wife convinced him that he should show his talent to the world. He says he's very, very stressed. After the song, the judges congratulate him ("this is the reason we have this show in the first place to discover someone like you", "a deep happiness from this performance" etc). Before the host hits the buzzer she says "for the humble and shy, who have worked their whole life without daring to speak of the passion that animates them, for all that love that they have not dared expresse, for this -- I do THAT..." (hits the buzzer). Not sub-titles, but helps a little maybe.

He sounds a lot like Josh Groban that sings this song. Not quite as good as Josh but very close! I just listened to him singing this song again like I did before and he has such a beautiful voice. He did this song proud. It’s one of my favorites from Josh Groban and I’ve listened to him sing it so many times. That’s why I said what I did originally and I still stand by that. But he does any amazing job with this song. Beautifully done.

@@louhollingsworth1273 his english is pretty good. only a slight accent. his accent is pretty minor (not very noticable). usually i hear some issues like making the sound "v" or the "th" sound. but with this gentleman, his pronunciations are good.

@@Watchamacallit000 I’ll move there then. I think the USA audience began going off the rails with talk shows that encouraged a rowdy, even angry mob. I saw an author of satire recently reading his work, which is very much story telling leading up to the comic bit and people were laughing ridiculously loud as he read at even the most mundane parts of the story. Really ruined it for me and others

I am also of French Canadian descent on my father's side. About 4-5 generations ago, they moved south across the border & ended up settling in Minnesota. Then eventually moving on to Oregon, where there were still virgin forests to fell. Settled in the mid Willamette Valley. My maiden name was Bordreaux. They anglicized it to Boardrow, but we "Frenched it" back. Lol. I love the sound of French being spoken. They could be talking about taking out the garbage or being sick, & it just sounds so pretty! But all I can say is "thank you" & "I love you" in French. Hope you have a great day, Larry. :^)

Absolutely.. You should check out Kang Hyung-Ho's first performance of "Phantom of the Opera" and his second (after some vocal training). He was a Research Chemist who sang in a Rock Band in his spare time. He had NO vocal training, but it was obvious he had genuine star quality. He is now part of S Korean group Forestella. (Check out their Bohemian Rhapsody.. he's the one with the high voice, although he can sing low Tenor and Rock rasp too). I love seeing people with no/little vocal training and their journey.

there is a little problem, he can be a professional singer... for sure, but can he and his family living from this? It's a pitty but success is not only a quality question, big luck, to got the right moment, to know one who knows other important one, to have a pate, etc, all this far away from only quality, there is a lot fabulous artist who nobody knows. Music is a very hard business and business and art are not compatible... 😔

I get chills from listening to him sing. He sings so beautifully. I'm going to save this video, and put it on my playlist, I call it beautiful music. I really love the way his hair is cut and styled, I really wish I could find someone who could come over to where I live in south Memphis TN that could cut and style my hair like his! You see I have a haircut fetish, I really enjoy getting my hair cut short, I have a full clipper set 2 trimmers and shaving cream and razor, everything someone would need to give me a very nice, very sexy and very short like his, but I'm disabled and it's getting very hard to get out of the house these days, and barbers don't make house calls, that's why I need someone to come over to my place and use my haircutting equipment to cut my hair like that, but I also lack one thing, I don't have any hair tonic or gel that they, whoever might come over to where I live in south Memphis TN, to put in my hair so that they could style it like his.
