@@stephendonatelli3083 The Orozco fight should tell us where Ortiz stands at the moment. The fight is at welterweight so maybe Ortiz can't make 140 any more. Anyway there's no rush with this guy - especially at welterweight - Spence, Crawford, Pacquiao - those guys know how to use their experience, & they would be too much for Ortiz at present - but in a couple of years time : Spence would have moved up by then, Pacquiao will have retired, & Crawford will probably be the lone man standing, so that would be the big fight available to Ortiz after he gets one of those lesser belts.....

I see what you're saying but he is also 13 years older and towards the end of his career. It's the same with Ryan Garcia, we have yet to see him fight some actual competition.

He doesn't look like he'd be big above 147, but could make waves in Welter. His discipline will decide how far he gets over a long career with his weight. He almost looks peaked in that body frame. He already has the natural tools. Wouldn't get too excited about him fighting the top tier of 140-147 though. They barely even fight each other. He'll be next gen, but that style of his leads to wars, and wars shorten careers.
