Hi Simon, absolutely loved that film. I've managed to fish both lakes this year and blanked on both. I can honestly say though that I had the most restful/peaceful experiences on both trips. I too fished swim number 1 on the Mere but from the opposite swim you fished from. I'm a self confessed "noddy" and those anglers who put them selfs above that in my opinion will never truly appreciate a wonderful BLANK!!!!! As a good old chippy mate once said to me "The man that never made a mistake never made anything". Finally, that dirty Muskrat George rinsed me of my chocolate and then proceeded to leave me with a HOTDOG!. He was cute though so I forgave him almost immediately. Didn't spend to much time with Ash but found him a real Gent.

Quite simply an absolutely superb vlog Simon, probably the happiest times of my carp fishing life are of fishing this beautiful place. My time on the Mere unfortunately ended all too soon, the last fish I had was last year about the time you filmed this year, from the same swim you fished. Ash , Derek & Rob have done a fantastic job the place looks stunning, love to return one day, thank you for sharing 👍❤️

Hi Simon just watched your other video and same again awesome I see that some people put dislikes on it obviously they’re more into watching Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck or something else God knows I truly believe that the standards of your videos the quality of your filming the information the camerawork the voice-overs the funny bits here and there make them very very pleasurable indeed and I know I said before it’s almost like watching something off the BBC really that’s an insult to you because you’re far better please keep going really enjoyed it

I’ve got a nice little lake booked to myself and the wife, nice big house with a hot tub, 3 acre lake with carp to 50lb and lots of wildlife apparently, place called La Bourgonierre 👌🏻 Keep up the good work 🙏🏻

Thanks Paul. Boots are lovely and warm. Buy them 1 or 2 times bigger than your normal size. They come up quite small so give yourself a little extra. Well worth it for them cold days/nights.

Hi Simon. Great video. Can I ask which tripod you use for your video/dslr camera. I currently use a Manfrotto camera tripod and want to move to something a bit more sturdy but still portable. Thanks.

Hi Jason. I use the Manfrotto 290 carbon. Sturdy enough but light enough for treks. I also have the Befree Sony edition and a Benbo but the 290 does most of the slave work. X

You should be a photographer, you have a nack of that!
