When fit, he is physically comparable to prime pre-injury Virgil. Does not have the long range pass of Virgil, but a much better dribbler and a threat like Matip to push forward and break the first line of opposition defense.

Mark despises Liverpool purely out of principle - he loves Yanited too much.

Arsenal got lucky that Liverpool hit the bar twice and none of those goals went in or else score woud have looked worse.

Two great teams on full throttle battle. Liverpool rode their luck but showed a lotta bottle and how to put a chance away. Arsenal will never win the PL without a 20 goal striker.

Salah had a better game than Saka...and he wasn't even playing.

Looking at how bad Saka was, I felt it's unfair how they focus attacking Nunez just because he is not scoring. He is always attacking and working hard on the pitch.

But Jorginho and Havertz, almost £80m for the two and they don't add anything to your team. We the Liverpool were hideous in the first half! As expected though, when Arsenal couldn´t score whilst we were not present, in 2nd half we just twisted and crushed Arsenal little by little until they broke like a twig that they are. Also, 2nd half, Luis Diaz showed glimpses of his skills that we haven´t seen much since those two consecutive injuries, his inner cannibal is emerging. Still, if I had to choose, whether to win this game OR the away game vs Arsenal in EPL and I could only win one (luckily IRL we can win both), I´d take the EPL -game. Cometh the 4th round and if we still go through, it´d be horrible waste of time and risk of injury unless we´d go on to win the whole thing.

As a huge Arsenal fan for almost 10 years now I must say that we are in the mud. The biggest issues being LB(Zinchenko is good in attack, shit at defending, Kiwior is just shit), Arteta starting Raya for unknown reasons(maybe he is his cousin or smth), and more importantly - we need a striker as our young front line is lacking confidence and experience(idk what happened comparing to even last season). Moreover, we just don’t have squad depth and Arteta refuses to rotate our first team. For unknown reasons. Never been toxic personally to any other team, except for Tottenham(its in my veins, nothing personal) and have nothing but respect to competition and every other team. I and many other Arsenal fans are just happy that we are somewhat climbing out of the shit we’ve been since like 15/16. All I have seen for a year now from other teams’ fans was ‘bottlers’, ‘toxic fans’, ‘lucky’, and etc. Guys, I only see you being toxic. Let’s keep calm. GG to Liverpool, top-tier defense. Just enjoy competition!

I was SO ANNOYED. I didn't expect to have to watch Bono murdering his own tune before the game on the red button. It's not like the Beeb gave me a choice, it was stapled on the back of the City match.

For me Saliba is the better player currently, as he's technically gifted and great on ball. However, Konate is a physical freak of nature and if he can stay fit, he has high ceiling. I think though, his physical strengths are his weakness in terms of being the cause of injuries. I'm not sure if he can be same player as he gets older if he continues to have injuries, and those physical players don't tend to to stay the course as long as technically gifted players

I don’t see how you can defend the manager and say the issue is the squad, recruitment or lack of striking options when he has been there for over 4 years and spent the best part of £500m? With that amount of time and resources, if he hasn’t built a team capable of competing then that’s on him and he has to be accountable. If he’d only just walked through the door it would be different, but for me Arteta is being let off the hook with that opinion - he has overthought his squad management by signing the likes of Raya and Havertz, and overlooked getting the basics right - and now they are paying for it.
