Thanks, Mark. What a game, Arsenal were pressing and coming onto Utd throughout, they just didn't rest, and MU only had most of their play on the counter, to get at Arsenal. The thing with Rashford is to know your game. At times it's good for him to go one-on-one with anyone, other times it's a call to assist, bread and butter for all players, but for Rashford, it was not like this for him. He went on his own when it was better to pass, and it broke down. Potential chances. The sublime ball from Eriksson for the goal gave him the opportunity to go alone, good goal.But it's said you are mostly open just after you've scored, you're so focused on the jubilation you lose focus on the play, which is what happened for the equaliser. Arsenal went forward more determined, two passes later, no MU player touching the ball, Odegaard was found where he customarily lurks, on the edge of the box for the ball to come onto his left. Another good goal. 2nd half was little different, MU came out their box more, looking as if they were interested in taking the lead but would take the draw. Havertz....for the life of me, went down so easily for the penalty. Replays showed WB didn't touch him, I was adamant it would be cancelled. Thankfully, good refereeing judgement said so. Right concrete decision. The Garnacho goal, another superb set up, pass, between Hojlund and Casemiro to find the Argentinian on the sprint, no one catching him, for a winning finish, to be subsequently denied by VAR. BUT...that should have been the catalyst for MU to put the pressure back on Arsenal, to stop the Gunners' confidence. The corner into injury time. Declan Rice has been doing this for West Ham, and was found to have done so twice in this game. Creeping up at the back unmarked, so no surprise he got the ball to shoot for the 3rd goal. Took a ricochet off a defender then Onana, but crucially the defending was not of standard, why it was conceded. I said the same thing, close Rice down. You had Evans grappling with Gabriel, and at least Maguire moving into position between the shot and goal; Wan-Bissaka in Onana's way, so Onana moved right to see the shot; and Dalot. Any one of those three should have moved to Rice, and didn't. The nearest player was Maguire, at least. The shot comes off Evans' right foot, off Onana's right glove and in. Then of course MU go for broke, so late into the game, they've committed practically all apart from Onana, with the counter coming from the corner. Fabio Vieira goes left, finds Jesus on his own between Evans and Dalot, one through ball later, the Brazilian has Dalot doing so well to catch up with him, to then done the Portuguese without even looking, for the 4th goal of the game. That set-up was the proverbial slap on the face with a smile. I've learned of some Arsenal fans STILL disgruntled with Arteta's management, but he has found the gel and cohesion for the team to play faster, more coherent football, which is on a par with Man City, Liverpool, even Newcastle. There's a don't-let-up attitude, stick-and-move, have the touch to add in the final third. MU have it, but just don't execute it enough to feel it's energy, to produce it consistently. Liverpool have it and are building up to executing it consistently, with a new midfield character and a reconstructed front line that anyone of five players there can fill in. Eddie Howe was being renowned for developing Bournemouth well, considering his limited finances, why NUFC came in with new investment, seeking new management. Now he's got them into the Champions League. EtH has it too, just needs to know his best men, and get into them consistently. For me, Martial was hardly in the game. MOTD said he was upset over not getting enough service, because they were under the cosh through Arsenal's persistent wave after wave, but Martial at the same time didn't make moves upfront that warranted the confidence for midfield to supply him (probably why Rashford went alone at times). Martial hardly made a nuisance of himself with Gabriel, someone who I find is susceptible to pressure, regardless. Saliba is more calmer, Gabriel is so keyed up in performing, he is open to pressure and could get shrugged off. Something that Hojlund introduced from the moment he came on. Hojlund MUST start the next game. So should Garnacho, if fit.

Apart from the fact that we had to watch Evans and Maguire defend I was happy with the way Hojlund made a difference. It's gonna be the same shit until we get new owners and people who blame the manager are clowns. Theres only so much be can do with the disappointment he had in this transfer window. Players he wanted gone are still here and we couldn't buy any more squad depth. Doesn't help that we've had all of these injuries

Arsenal MVP was the duo Evans Maguire combo. 9 vs 13. Great match.

I can't make up my mind whether (as an Arse fan) I actually like this guy or whether he's basically a highly accomplished and rather cynical purveyor of slightly overtheatrical internet material. Probably more the latter, but either way, fair play to him for producing such entertaing and occasionally insightful (!) content. Bravo
