putting any political stance aside, the execution of this interview is outstanding and a kind we do not see today: calm, clear, and specific questions presented in slow paced, measured tone followed by interviewer silence to facilitate interviewee's ability to listen, process, think, and reply in full with a thoughtful, slow-paced answer we need more of this today

That was possible because the market was not saturated the way it is today. Now there are a gazillion "news" channels competing for the attention of people distracted by TikTok and Instagram reels, so it's the survival of the loudest and the angriest. This interview on KZread has only 141K views. The people are the problem. We live in an era of rage addiction.

First time I listen to her. Watched her on tv in my youth but I was too young. Now I see the abysmal gap between Past Leaders and today's. She speaks like a Leader one with the superior intelligence Hamas could never destroy. Her face is the one of a very ancient Soul. Her voice is very tender, warm. No leader today since Margaret Thatcher can speak that way, ponderate, diving in History like a dolphin to resurface with Graceful Words that only come from Truth. Exceptional Lovely Woman.

This is Golda’s history. Absolutely ridiculous. 700k Palestinian refugees fled or were forced from their homes and villages during the 1948 war and were never allowed back (in hopes of Israel creating an ethnic & religious majority in the land- the definition of ethnic cleansing). Even now, these refugees cannot go back. They still have their keys to their houses. At the same time, Israel brings people from all over the world to settle on that land (many who have other nationalities). The Palestinians now live within an apartheid situation, without access to a military, airport, movement, commerce, energy, water, etc..

@jereuter01 Not to mention that even the "right-wing" Israeli Prime Minister, Netanyahu, has recognized Palestine's right to exist, while the Palestinians refuse to reciprocate. If you like living in the stone age so much, you have plenty of choices. In Israel, being a "radical" means putting some trailers on some hilltops or building a fence. In Palestine, strapping a bomb to your chest and detonating it in a pizza parlor to get some concubines in paradise is "normal." Sick moral relativism.

Shalom. Thanks for to share this document. Great respect for our best Prime Minister for ever. In his book " My Life" the autobiography, published by Futura Publications Limited, 1975, Mrs. Golda Meyer register some words in pages 51 until 53 his voyage from New York to Palestine in a boat called S.S. Pocahontas. it was about 23, May 1921 and they stoped one Ponta delgada, Azores Islands. There she meet a tiny Sephardi Jewish Community (some thirty people at all) which was extremely observant. She wrote that " the Rabi has died several years earlier and the Community- like my grand father- was worried about the possibility of violating the Jewish dietary laws that it decided to forgo eating meat permanently... I remember touring the pretty porto town, enjoying the mild climate and the lovely unfamiliar scenery..." Because I am from azores I think that, may be my grand grandfather was there as part of that jewish group. Today in Ponta Delgada it is possible to visit the old synagogue on downtown. It was an amazing testimony.

A strong, common-sense woman and great leader. The money she single-handedly raised in the US for Israel before and during the War of Independence is credited with being indispensable to the state's creation, and its victory in the war. It's a true shame that her self confidence was excessive on the eve of the Yom Kippur War, as she ignored numerous internal warnings that the Arabs were about to launch a major united attack. Siding with those advisers who disregarded the threat, she failed to adequately prepare the army and the reserves -- leading to the nearly fatal results of the war, that were only averted thanks to some heroic military feats (like Arik Sharon's sensational Suez crossing) and Pres. Nixon's decision to send Israel a huge airlift of weapons of all kinds -- including tanks, APC's and airplanes. Unfortunately, her last memory was that of the Yom Kippur disaster.

Helen Mirren did a terrible portrayal of Golda, it was British Helen smoking in a mask, (make-up was good) she didn't even try to change her voice, they should have hired Meryl Streep.
