I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

Who told you that? China survives on Imports and Exports. In scale it only have one trade partner as all the other pale into insignificance compared to the scale of trade. That partner is the United States. Have no doubt that irrespective of trade or geopolitical differences the US and China are tied at the hip. This is not bias it is simply a fact that can not be overlooked. Also gold reserves of the US stands at 8500 tons, China holds around 350 tones, India about 803 tones, again facts not some uneducated comment you picked up in the market.

I dumped the $$ back in 2019 and bought gold. Initially not much happened but today I am showing a healthy profit and expect the gold price to continue upward. When I can sell at $3000 per Oz. I will take my profit and run. I expect that to before the end of this year.

Interesting how over 2% inflation has been a concern when central banks and the Fed begin to hike interest rates. I consider the rising interest rate to be a very serious issue since it will undoubtedly cause more investors to withdraw their money from the stock market. But then I'm still aware of certain investors that continue to earn over $365,000. Wish I could accomplish that.

First, it was done over a very long period of 200+ years. Not all in one go. And it was the British policies and laws implemented that killed 1.8 billion Indians, not that they were executed

The two main policies that wiped out 1.8 billion Indians are: 1: Allocation of food: Since the British were at war all the time, they didn't have people to do the farming. They made India do agriculture and then take it away. causing a massive famine every week. 2: Plundering of India's natural resources The British forced Indians to mine all the natural minerals in their country and carry them to the ports to be shipped back to England every day. extremely dangerous jobs, and these poor Indians weren't fed, and hundreds of millions succumbed to the exhaustion. The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.

Sounds great in practice but anyone who believes great economies are made just because you have big gold assets is simply crazy. It needs strong financial authorities, education, and political stability just to mention a few. It will be interesting to see how it pans out but I suspect a big implosion

What you have not covered: Surplus US dollors in the financial market will reduce it's demand and dollor gets cheaper. This will adversely affect US economy. In such a scenario, conflicts between nations will create a demand for the dollor. This raises the question, whether the present ongoing conflicts have an agenda.

But then your analogy on Zimbabwe having a currency backed by Gold has another narrative

Many countries look up to BRICS to bring more fairness, working together, growing, developing together and BRICS is the special organisation to tackle this. 1 gram of 22ct gold in 2019 june it was around 3000 per gram.During covid times gold has touched 5000 rs per gram.Now it is 6700 per gram.In world market China is purchasing the gold in a huge way and piling up the reserves in banks.Next India is increasing the reserves in banks and house hold consumption in Indian homes are also happening.Few other countries are also buying the gold to put up in reserves.If federal reserve reduce the interest rates in USA,again gold price will shoot up.In future middle class people can't think about the gold.

Gold backed currency offers great stability with inflation remaining near zero for decades at a time.

This is not the first time that the world is practicing the idea of gold, unfortunately it failed before
