Some clarification about the subject on the table It is about the irresponsible manner in which the pull out was conducted and the many negative repercussions it caused in people's lives (didn't you watch the video ?), loss of equipment, and strategic interaction in world situations. The consequences should be on the ones making the irresponsible decision to pull out in a manner contrary to the advise of many advisors - Joe Biden and his "yes" men/women. It is sad when the "Commander in Chief" (who never served in the military) of the military, ignores the advice of military advisors who understand what is goin on and understands the ramifications of such decisions, and goes on to give orders, not based on evidence, but for the sake of hoping for personal political reasons. Clearly this man is a Republican, its easy to blame Biden for a plan Trump refused to complete. There's no shortage of blame on the Dems administration for the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan BUT Trump didn't DO IT. As a Republican father he understands its either blame Biden or acknowledge the fact that you're Republican president failed to execute the agreement HE made with the Taliban. These facts are unpleasant and won't bring back people's lost children BUT unless we understand that it was the failure of both administrations and more importantly the failure of the duopoly who supports endless war to enrich their donors in the military industrial complex we will continue to believe blaming the other side makes any difference. Sadly, more sons and daughters will die for this willful ignorance.

I'm British and thought the withdrawal was a disgrace organised by clueless people at the top and the brave men/women on the ground paid the price. This gentleman has my utmost respect for how restrained he is able to be considering what he and his family have been through.

I am a Vietnam vet. My 18 year old Grandson recently graduated from high school. I can't imagine encouraging him to join the military under this administration.

I have a grandson that was going to join the British Army I discouraged him from joining I served for 32 years in the military serving in the Falklands war Northern Ireland troubles the first gulf war and finally Bosnia my grandfather fought in the battle of the Somme my father a young nineteen old went in on D Day. and finished up in Malaya I look back now and think was it all worth it I am glad I have more years behind me than I have in front of me as the politicians have steadily but surely phucked this world up I am hopefully the last of my family that serves what was a country worth fighting for and giving my life for like my forefather's before me did😔

Well said sir. I give you my utmost respect. As someone who lived in Northern Ireland but considered myself British it galls me the way that the military is treated nowadays. They are hanged if they do and hanged if they don’t. Too often they are hung out to dry on the whims of totally despicable politicians who care nothing for the people. Again my sincere thanks for everything you went through both in Northern Ireland and in other operations. May I also request that if you know of anyone or families of anyone who suffered while serving in Northern Ireland please pass on my condolences as they they made the ultimate sacrifice which must never be forgotten. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Why would you encourage your son to join the military under any administration? Can't you see that all the USA wars after the WW2 were utterly pointless, not a single military intervention was to protect the American soil? Unless you believe in the same old BS about protecting individual freedom and democracy. Even if that's the case, why would you care about what's going on thousands of miles away of your shores? No one can destroy your democracy except yourselves, as you actually do now. So, mind your own business and leave the rest of the world alone to deal with their business.
