    That data isn't entirely fair. GDX pays out a dividend. I can't find a chart but if the dividend was ~2% (most recent year was 1.92%) then you would have accumulated 36% dividends over the past 18 years, if reinvested it should have brought the GDX number much closer to the physicial silver number of doubling the price since 2006. It would be interesting to see this chart done again with dividend reinvestment. I think physical gold/silver would win but it wouldn't be nearly as dramatic.

    I don't think junior miners will go bankrupt. They're run much better than in the past, most of them have no debt and this by itself greatly reduce the risk of bankruptcy. If you buy miners with a good deposit and a good management the risk of them going bust is low. If anything, the main risk is that if gold/silver prices skyrocket the various Governments will nationalize the mines or demand a big piece of it. Or create a windfall tax. Those are the main risks IMHO

    At this moment, it is crucial for individuals to prioritize investing in alternative streams of income that are not reliant on the government, particularly with the existing worldwide economic crisis. Investing in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies can still be profitable during this period. Therefore, it is advisable to explore these investment options to secure one's financial future.

    I think the perspective taken on the miners in this video was a little myopic. Strategically waiting for a metals bull market in spite of the dips along the way is to be anticipated and expected. Holding through this period is not the same thing as losing money. During the bull market, the stocks significantly outperform physical metal. I understand that you make a living selling physical gold and silver, though.

Strategically holding a stock will make you rich because you get more leverage. I could show you a lot of charts to support this. You only lose money if you sell at the wrong time. Understanding how he put the charts together and cherry-picked what to emphasize will reveal bias.

A question: today's gold/silver history charts don't quite appear to stack up to what I've understood you to explain previously. That is, at first glance looking at your charts today it appears that gold outperformed silver even in the long haul?? ...whereas I thought I recalled some of your prior broadcasts to say that while silver gets a slow start relative to gold, silver eventually outperform gold. Did I misread today's chart? Or is there some other explanation? Thank you for your continued outstanding work. Best regards.

    Bottom signal for Miners?

  • @mathiasalexander7795
    @mathiasalexander77952 ай бұрын

    This really is not a good comparison in my opinion. Newmont stock for example was at all time highs just two years ago but has since fallen back down, so its not like these stocks have done nothing for decades. Since the 1980's there were several times where your investment would have risen by 5-10x. You could have invested in Newmont 100 years ago and you would still have your shares today, having received endless amounts of dividends during a century. Sure there are lots of shady companies in this space and it can be very risky. The sector is very cyclical but guess what? So are many other sectors as well. Mining stocks have times when you should buy them (like right now and back in 2016) and times when you should sell them (periods like 1980-81 and 2010-11). Mining has created many billionaires and millionaires around the world. This constant bashing on the mining sector (which without the modern world could not exist) is just so unfair. The tech sector is much more risky in my opinion because technology is improving so rapidly every year which makes it almost impossible to predict the future with any accuracy. Contrast that with mining where you can be absolutely certain that humans will need copper, zinc, gold, silver, platinum, iron, cobalt, aluminum etc. in the future which will guarantee that mining as a sector will continue. You just need to be able to identify the right companies in this space and stick with them.

    Jeff Clark has made lots of money with jr mining stocks, which is why he believes in them. Nobody has a crystal ball and nobody hides the fact that the expected outcome of a jr is total loss; its the few winners that offest the losses. I'm down on most of my miners as well, even the majors. Considering the fact that I found them attractive at higher prices, I'm not upset that they are on sale now. Companies like Barrick and Newmont will be around when the next gold bull market takes off. Unless you think gold is finished forever, it's just a matter of time before sentiment flips.

    I miss some perspective in this video. Mining stocks are still out of grace on wallstreet because we were and are still living in a fiat currency delusion. De rise in gold has gone unnoticed and small investors dont follow alternative (but sound) advice. So the mining stocks are not popular among investors. The rise in gold has to do with the fundamental flaw of fiat money and smart money attraction. This ignoring of mining stock potential however cannot last. Miners will go high when sentiment changes due to the real rise in the price of gold, but it just takes a little time to adjust the mind on the masses. The time of mining stocks has yet to start. It will be like the cryptohype once a few mining stocks go to the moon.

It's extremely cost-inefficient, dependent on huge supercomputers and steady Internet connections. Crypto exchanges get hacked, scammers abound, and it's not even entirely private, since the entire history of Bitcoin trades is available for public viewing in the blockchain. 1. This time is different. The risk of dollars reaching zero value is significant, which should ramp up fear. 2. Fewer people are alive who remember bank holidays and failures, resulting in fewer knowing how to buy physical. They know how to buy stocks. 3. Gold & Silver’s website may crash from overwhelming new business. Stock websites are built for higher volume and faster transactions in accounts that are already set up. 4. The large investors can’t invest in gold/silver miners without affecting price, but if the dollar is collapsing fast enough, they may take what they can get at any price. 5. The miners are mining money. They should have no trouble paying dividends. 6. Royalty and streaming… 7. Bots. It should be interesting but I am not risking options due to the risk of shutdowns.
