Gold & Silver from a Secret Gold Mine - Crushing, Smelting and Refining Process

Ғылым және технология

Join us on an exciting journey as we process 18 sacks of ore from my secret gold mine to uncover the hidden treasure of gold and silver. Watch as we use a jaw crusher, hammer mill, and shaker table to extract the precious metals from the ore. Once the shaker table concentrates the high-grade gold, we take it to the smelting process to refine and purify the gold and silver. But there's a twist at the end of the video that will leave you intrigued, so make sure to stay tuned till the end to unravel the final mystery!

Gotta say, Jason is by far the consumate standard in gold mining channels. From the raw mining to the manufacturing of the machines through the smelting process, and then to a product Sreetips could purify. Awesome channel Jason!! It's obvious why Dan and Jeff rely on You.

To stop your crucible from sticking to the brick in the furnace, place a small square (about the size of the base the crucible) of corugated cardboard under the crucible. |this will turn to charcoal, and form a barrier that prevents the crucible from sticking.

Seeing gold run in the galena is neat. Usually it’s high grade silver that runs in galena in NE Washington. I’ve seen assays that ran over 1000 ounces a ton (silver) on galena

I mentioned Brent at Cerro Gordo, and you went and did a collaboration with him. Then I mentioned Dan Hurd, and you were off to Canada. Now - considering what you are embarking on, I want to mention Sreetips. If you are breaking out the chemistry set and the nitric acid, you need to talk to Sreetips.

Is that street sweeps is one of the gurus of the precious metals refining for jewelry and electronics and stuff He's he's very smart and knowledgeable I also want to try to get him on the show maybe a show and an adventure it's going to be the quest for the eight noble medals and I've got a bunch of ideas and I got my show so check a little take a look and see what kind of just messing around on the side side show jobs because refining recovery of precious metals gets those very boring moments that's when we fill it in with all the sideshow stuff but I want to do this signal that like an adventure thing in mind I'll keep in touch I'll keep you in the loop you need to let me know if you're interested and yeah like I said we could actually get a good little collaboration of us like-minded and talented people put our minds together and we have us one hell of a team anyways later talk to street tips I'll be talking to him too maybe we can collaborate later

I will stay tuned for the next refining video for sure 👍 Word of advice before starting devolving the buttons in nitric acid. Get yourself a gold karat test kit. You will need to get the gold content to around 25% or lower by adding either copper or silver to the material. Otherwise the gold will protect the silver from going into solution. There are a lot of information about this around the Internet, and it’s a fairly simple refining trick. Search for “assaying gold/silver with inquartation”

Love your videos, thank you. I am surprised about 1 item, your guessing of the gold silver content in your buttons. For the amount of work you do refining gold/silver wouldn't be worth buying a gold and silver testing and detection scanner so you know the exact content of the gold/silver in each button? I know they are expensive but how about a used one for sale. These analyzers can even be used checking the gold/silver ore content in the mine vein.

20:14 Jason, don’t know if it has been said before, but canvas tarps are way better when dealing with material like that. They are so much easier to shovel or scoop off from, more resilient, and you are not leaving bits of plastic everywhere. Just my $.02 Thanks for making a great channel.

Hey Jason Have you ever tried to oxydize the lead without cornflaking it first? As lead has a slightly lower melting point than Potassium nitrate i suspect that most or nearly all of the reaction happens with the lead already molten anyway. So that additional step of cornflaking the lead could be avoidable.

You can use an electromagnetic separator to separate the Galina from the gold. To do so, have the powder run past the magnet on a thin stream on a conveyer. The gold and silver will get kicked away while the rest goes straight through. Magnitite, if present, will stick to the magnet. Old microwave transformed with the primary attached, but the secondary hacked off so it makes an E core works well. Hook 3 in series for 120VAC.

To separate the Au and Ag from the buttons you'll need to inquart with some more Ag to bring the Au concentration to around 25% or less. Too much Au will prevent the HNO3 from getting to all the Ag. An excellent book that some refiners consider as the bible on this subject is "Refining Precious Metal Wastes" by CM Hoke.
