Nice, you destroyed processors worth far more than the gold value.
Why would you even do this to unbroken components? Worth much more than their weight in gold, even when this video came out.

Hi! Respect for your work and knowledge! What`s happened with the silver from your addition and from the CPU? It must be in the gold so, after digestion in nitric acid (50:50 maybe), the silver must be in the solid, together with the gold. But what happens after AR step, maybe AgCl precipitate or what? Thank you in advance!

Hi the silver is dissolved @6:19, and only gold is left as residue. If there was any silver left it was removed in the next stage of the refining process: it is precipitated as silver chloride upon dilution of the AR solution (@9:32) and then filtered off (@9:43)

how many carats are we talking about? because if it is 8 carat gold it does not pay off. 3g would be about 50e. and those processors are expensive... like 70e each... used of course. if it were 24k it wouldnt be worth it either

Why do you use Pb? My mentor died early due to heavy metal (Hg and Pb) toxicity. I like that you produce videos showing the recovery of precious metals but it seems you are placing yourself in a hazardous situation.

That's why I'm not encouraging anybody, on the contrary it is stated in the beginning of each video. I can take care of myself, and it's up to the others to use their common sense and look after themselves.
When I denoxing with sulfamc acid gold drops as vary fine particles which passed through my 3G sintered glass filter..... why?

I don't think it has to do with your de-NOx, more to do with precipitation agent, concentration, impurities present, temperature etc.

They are not collectors CPU's in all parts of the world. Plus you need to find one very elusive colelctor first. Plus they prolls were non working in the first place ;oP

It's a really good point. When I've been shopping for CPUs, I've looked at them and thought Nooooo! But still, by melting them down, they will likely get used in other CPUs, made into a work of art or something else.

Nope, I'm getting the gold (and silver) from the braze, the plating, bond wires and the gold under the silicon dies. what do you mean when you say ferrite compound?

silver is added as collector metal and to help with the cupellation after the smelting step. NaOH aids the smelting process and dissolves silica

Its not a low yielding method, youve got good purity, .3g is right on the mark. The highest yielding pentium pros are nicknamed 'plastic fantastic' theyre plastic not ceramic, youll be happy when you try one of them, .65-.75g each plus a little silver
