Awesome ash, thanks heaps, the sounds really are different when you hear them side by side, i can see what you mean about short sharp gold sound and the drawn out sound now, charcoal ,ha , who knew, thats very helpful. Thanks so much mate for taking the time to help us newbies, im sure a lot of people will find that as helpful as i did. 🤘🤘 thanks mick

The advice about the tones peaking was excellent. Perfect demonstration because like you said, gold doesn't peak like that unless it's a ripper. Thank you for this!

Bloody awesome video, mate. I'm new to defecting, but I'm sure with your channel, I will get better at it . I have found heaps of lead , rust nuggets, and just general scrap. I have set up stuff at home , gold , nails ,foil, bottle caps, lead, bronze coins, silver coins, etc! I'm still chasing that elusive AU! I know this is an old post , but it is still giving excellent advice. You should be very proud of your exploits . Please keep hammering, mate bloody good job! The best thing is you're as dinky as😂😂

I neat way to prove you’re correct would be to do a blind test. Have someone cover a few targets with paper plates, then use your trained ear to prove lead and gold have different tones. 👍

I have found a lot of nuggets that give different sounds with the 4500. Sometimes it's the shape, sometimes it's the density. I think. I know gold is gold but some nuggets have been pounded and some are fresher to the source. I just got a monster and have, maybe, 3 days under my belt. Does the monster give different tones on some nuggets versus others? For instance, I've found nuggets with the 4500 that give off a wobbly tone. Not a lot, but when I hear that sound, I get excited. So just wondering if the monster will vary like the 4500.

Great video. Very informative. I do have a question... My gold bug never makes any noise till I have a target. I try to balance it to the ground frequency with fist pumps but my machine never seems to make a noise till I find a target... Does this make any sense to you? I just bought it and I'm new to detecting. But I have found lead with it so I know it's finding accurate targets. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hey Kyle, I'm glad you like the videos. If your finding lead and your machine is quiet throughout, and you will find gold Lead and gold have similar characteristics in tone and size so keep it up 👌 Your machine sounds like it's sitting where it needs to be. Quiet until target is a god send whilst your learning. Goodluck out there And Keep Hammering

I buggered if l could tell the difference between any of the targets and that annoying sound is absolutely horrible.. I would go crazy and end up smashing the monster .. Obviously your going to be frustrated that the thousand dollar plus you spent getting it was a waste of money and sanity... reckon a 60 dollar jaycar detector would be just as good as the monster and as you will probably only use it once a year that's a lot of beer money in the kitty. My take is unless your willing and able to splash 7 thousand on a 6500 minelab the monster is a well marketed toy Just mention gold and all mindfulness goes down the rabbit hole... Anyway thanks for the demo you just saved me over a thousand l have a beer for you while your digging up nails 😂😂
