Gold Mine Hardrock testing with Mark Keene
Ғылым және технология
@mineoperator has a special guest, Mark Keene. In this video Mark, Mr. Hollywood, Ron, Greg "Conman" and Harry test out the RC812 jaw crusher double roller mill. We threw all of our challenging ore at it. Watch to find out.
Thankyou Keene for providing us the chance to use this machine. We test many gold mine ores to find out where we will mine. With a fine grind and milling of ore we can more accurately determine if a spot has recoverable free mill gold or not.

The RC812 jaw is an 8x12"
Thank you, Mr. Keene for loaning your bomb-ass prototype to the most promising mining crew in the nation. This is the kind of exposure that money can’t buy. Positively golden.
Looking forward to a vacuum clean up of the shop floor.
I will say that the mill you guys are using makes some of the ones I've seen on other videos look like toys. To crush those big rocks into such fine powders is amazing.
Well done Guys
At least you found some gold. Like seeing Mark there with the jaw. You will find higher grade.
Keene makes the best mining equipment. I love my RC46
Nice demonstration of that milling machine wish you would have got more gold the dogs were fun thanks for the video
Awesome video. and the keen company are awesome too deal with!!!
I never tire of viewing jaw crushers in action. Top down. Like watching the creation of fault gouge in 10^6 speed. Continuing thanks for putting these videos together. Great content, superior team.
Another great educational video MO, when you're ancient like me, it's always great to be reminded that I should have decided in my youth to be a miner, however living in Upstate NY & NJ the opportunity wasn't available 😢 but with these new gismos I get to experience it happening! Keep up the amazing work, as long as your putting these videos out and I'm on this side of the grass I'll be with you! 👍⛏️⚒️⚖️🤙🤠

Minning reminds me of the restaurant business... You want to be a miner with a million dollars in the bank? Start with two million. 😆😜🤠

So true! If you can afford to mine, maybe you shouldn't lol. Thank goodness we love the science behind it and getting outdoors. The physical labor helps keep us in shape too 😉.
Nice video. Ron is so cool 😎
Thank you for your dedication and hard work. This is really cool content and I love every minute of it.

If you mine as a hobby you will always be happy, if you mine as a job you will always be broke😅
Everyone is wearing breathing protection except the old timer recording. Off camera I would use Mercury. I would I would. One can use it safely you know!
I haven’t seen my job invite yet. That’s cool tho I’ll keep waiting. 😂

Looks like you're gunna hafta try some heap leaching of your tailings to see if you're missing nanoparticle sized gold.

We're definitely losing gold. Recent tests on our tailings confirm that. Our goal is to keep making additions to our process to reduce the loses. It's our goal to introduce a leaching circuit down the road. That'll help. We always appreciate your comments and suggestions! Thanks!

@@mineoperator Have you been following Keith Bowen as he perfects leaching fine gold and refining it?

@hunnybunnysheavymetalmusic6542 outside of his most recent video, I haven't been. His channel is one that I used to watch the most of. Working full time and running two businesses has cut out anytime available to watch what others are doing. I need to make time to watch his videos then to catch up because we know leaching is the way to go.

@@mineoperator Every Monday we have a live stream, its from 6:00 pm your time. I'm usually there, if I am not out of town. It would be great to have you there every now and then, a few of our people follow your channel already, too.
This is the sound EV cars should make as they approach a stoplight.
Roast the heavy sulfite bearing ore before crushing then process through the system. That will alleviate a lot of the sulfites in the bottom of the pan at the same time increasing your gold yield.

Us too, but we did fine alot of loss in the tailings. We have some fixes we're implementing. However, we found some better ore so stay tuned 😉. Thanks for your comment!
Is the flour gold all sticking electrostatically to the rubber of the conveyor?
@mineoperator
2 ай бұрын
We don't know. We haven't tested the conveyor belts for that yet. Have you experienced that before, and if so, what helped you fix it?
man, I should pat. pending my idea but if I don't get an investor in 1 year I would lose the status.
Quick question. After finding an outcropping with visible quartz how do I determine the direction the quartz vein is traveling under the surface?
@mineoperator
2 ай бұрын
Great question! Take a compass 🧭 and place it in contact (parallel) with the outcropping. Take note of the bearing/degree direction on the compass. For example, it may read 330° NW, or 30° NE. After taking that reading, you can determine the direction the outcropping is dipping (90° perpendicular east or west from the strike). Take the compass or clinometer to measure the right angle from the ground. I'll be sharing some insights on this in 2 weeks. I hope this helps. If you have additional questions, don't hesitate to ask 😉. Thanks for your comment!
What are the rollers on the bottom for?
@mineoperator
28 күн бұрын
Great question. They reduce the crushed rock from the jaw crusher to and on the first pass through the rollers, then to powder after the second roller. This helps liberate the gold from the rock. I hope this helps.
Too bad your samples are so low grade. Keep looking
How confident are you that you are extracting a significant fraction of the gold? I’ve been finding that a lot of gold can be lost in a process similar to yours when the gold is strongly associated with sulfides. I’ve been working on this for quite a while and I’d like a bit of Harry’s ore to take a close look. Do you still have some around? If so put aside a few pounds. - Dave

Exactly. There are some major steps missing in pretty much every KZread hardrock "mining" channel I've seen. Very important steps. That lead to some potentially dramatic increases in value recovery.

Hi Dave! Our confidence is very low in the recovery of gold from this high-sulfide ore. We do have a few pounds available for further testing when you get back in the states. Our goal over the next month will be adding our centrifuge into our circuit, along with our clarifying tank with automatic flocculant feeder. We've been wanting to add a leaching circuit into our flowchart. That way we can switch from gravity concentrating to leaching when the ore dictates. Everything moves very slowly due to costs and the time available to make additions to our design. Too bad we didn't have a really large piggy bank to tap into. Doing what we can on a shoestring budget 😉. We really appreciate your comment and suggestions 😊.

Did you get an assay of Harry’s ore? When I get back I’ll do some quick analysis of the ore and cons to see how much you’re losing. If the cons are rich there are easy leaching methods. - Dave
