I made a French fry basket out of expanded metal with 3/8ths opening and handles. Very easy to dump out and it protects the hopper surface from dents.

Just got my Gold Cube yesterday. trommel is on my list to get.

That's a killer video when I watch videos from other people I always focus on the how they edited it and everything they added to it like extra info and all the cool effects in the angles and the music to set the volume and this is a great video bro 👌

@@nicholaskight4573 I will have more videos of the setup in action soon. It is my first banker setup but I love it. I am sure other high bankers work just as well but I have had experience with the Gold Cube and have almost no complaints. The more I use it, the more I will share from what I learn about it the pros and cons.

To be clear , I designed this trommel and I manufacture them , not Gold Cube or Mike Pung .

Hello Kelly, the trommel is a great piece of equipment and is a wonderful addition to the Gold Cube. I would look to wrapping the water shoot around the hopper having maybe 2-3 or four water outlets into the hopper, Looking at the indentation inside the hopper lower end,,i would take an impression of this or a molding and simply make a silicon would that just sits in this grevis within the hopper,,. You would be better to make a grill taking dimensions from the hopper this can be easily made you could add hoops off each corner to hold the grill firm in place making it yourself from aluminum barring. These are simple hobby tweaks you can make to improve your system,,love that shiney,,so cool.😂😂😅

I noticed the water sprays don't have much interraction with the product in the trommel, is it rotating the right way?

Great video. Seriously considering this combo. Also, how do you thin it might work in Georgia clay pay dirt? Will it break up the clay? Lastly, do you have an inexpensive source to purchase?

I'm no prospector but as someone who has dealt with clay heavy dirt my hole life, I imagine it shouldn't be a massive issue. Honestly the part where it'll be more difficult is getting the dirt up.

Thanks so much Outdoors Inspired, I agree it should help out recover some gold every time. The Gold Cube 4 stack deluxe was $450 & the Gold Cube Trommel was $650 so around $1100 before shipping. Definitely a little expensive although I feel it is quality built and constructed all around. Plus in Colorado with all the very small gold here I feel it does a great job capturing it.

Maybe check your tailings, see if losing any shiney. Although it looks like material is well washed.

I will be running my sluice box behind the Gold Cube setup soon to see if there is some of the goods possibly getting by. I could always keep a 5 gallon bucket of the larger tailing also and run them back through a manual classification and then pan it to make sure nothing is also kicking out the large tailings, that is a great idea Paul!

Definitely recommend taking a metal detector to the rock pile a chuck of gold big enough to not go through 1/8 are not all that rare found plenty my self

if you have to put your hand in your hopper to clean rocks out you have lost efficiency (time) and added more work . Mike Pung makes a good gold cube but this is a bottle neck
