    Hi, Good vid, extraordinary yield! A couple of constructive comments if I may? Use a little more SMB. Check the supernatant to make sure all the gold has in fact dropped. Just pour off the clear liquid from the settled gold. Wash the gold powder with HCL (preferably boil in HCL for 5 minutes X 3) then boil in water 3 - 5 times pouring off after each boil. When done simply slide the washed powder into your melt dish. A spray of water may help. Keep up the good work.

    @@joelarimore8135 Indeed! I boil in distilled water x 5 times then in HCL X 5 times then in Distilled water X 3 times then in Ammonia X 3 times then in distilled water X 5 times!!! A lot of rinsing especially if you refine 3 to 5 times. I only do this if I am chasing 5 9s pure. Good luck

    @@joelarimore8135 For me, the key is in the rinsing. Tripple 9s is relatively easy and should only need 2 refinings. 5X9s requires 4 or 5 refinings, dropping with different reagents and multiple rinsings at each refining. A lot of work for no extra return save the satisfaction of having done it. Enjoy!

    Nice to see. I just got a about 200 of them. 2 lbs or so. Was trying to decide, do I wet ash, as you did, or burn them. Burning them is so much work. I think wet ash is the way Im going. By the way, concentrated sulfuric will digest silver (silver sulfate). It can be recovered with a bit of HCL added to the Sulfuric to produce silver chloride. filter , rince then use the lye and sugar method to recover 999 silver. Not sure the recovery would be worht the effort but it can be done.

  • @ogbullion

    @ogbullion

    If you want the silver from these, burning is the way to go. I think its almost impossible to recover the silver from the thick syrupi black sulfuric sludge, but maybe im wrong.

    Hello , I am new to the process of recovering gold. I found your video interesting , but answer my question. For the precipitation of gold you use Potassium Metabisulphite and in other videos I have seen them use Sodium metabisulfite. Are we talking about the same product and if not what is their difference and their effectiveness? Thank you in advance for your reply.
