Majority of gpkus power abilitiew can be absorbed by Superman lol. Too many counters even instant yransmission would be useless. The show him countering lex luthors teleportation hax.

Kal has speed feats beyond comprehension, like destroying reality blitzing missiles before a single heartbeat, realistically goku has no hope against a bloodlusted superman just by their huge speed difference alone

He didn't fight UI head-on, he tactical nuked his way out of it lol and instead of coming back for another fruitless melee, Superman decided he needed the World Forger ending punch to end Goku. If anything, that should be an honor or some shit; Superman had to end the fight by punching the multiverse into destruction.

I feel like straight air was going through these guys ears and brain when they were listening to Superman's explanations with how awful their takes were.

The powers category isn't asking "Who has cooler powers?" It's asking "Could one person defeat the other with their powers?" So, yeah. Goku has some awesome powers, but he didn't win the powers category because all of the powers he had would ultimately be ineffective against Superman.

They were actually very generous on speed to call it a tie. Goku only reaches immeasurable speeds with instant transmission, Superman does it with regular movement. Goku has to move to a dimension with different laws of physics to achieve these speeds, where superman just decides he doesn't care about the laws of physics in our universe and does what he wants. With powers, it's mostly just a matter of none of Goku's abilities being able to compensate for the strength difference. His transformations don't matter because they can't close to power gap. His ki blasts don't matter because he doesn't have the energy output to compete with Supes durability, bind doesn't work because it can be overwhelmed by superior strength which superman has, sealing doesn't work because it's too slow to work on a fast opponent, not even the spirit bomb matters because superman can easily tank all the energy in the universe. As for martial arts, superman rarely uses them because he rarely needs to. The purpose of martial arts techniques it to optimize your body's use of energy to generate the most force. Superman is already way too strong, he doesn't need to optimize his attacks for maximum force, the majority of the time he needs to hold back. As for ultra instinct, being able to react instantaneously doesn't help if you're not fast enough to dodge, AND Superman has his own version of UI in his Theta state. The fact that UI came from angels doesn't really make a difference, Superman has been beating the brakes off gods for decades.
