Hearing goku roar with such furiosity for the first time literally changed me. It made my eyes water. Not because I was sad, but from goosebumps and chills. I dont know what it was but it was like connecting with a character who is normally childish and chill, who all of a sudden attains impossible levels of strength due to this testosterone induced rage spoke to the primate inside me. I was an endomorphic but still kind of small kid, about 16 at the time weighing in at 65ish kg, I could bench about 40kg max. Afterwards I became obsessed with the gaining strength and muscle, started listening to hardstyle remixed with gokus roars, starting eating big, discovered zyzz's legacy. Now I'm 20 years old, I weigh in at 95kg and compete. Can max out 120kg on the bench. I still become enraged by gokus screams and it will never change. Its always going to be my PR fuel and it still amazes me 4 years later that one man's voice acting can have such a significant impact on someone's life.

Just know from now on, every time Goku awakens into ultra instinct, that’s Akira Toriyama speaking. That’s Akira powering up his son to overcome the enemy. Now that I think about it, Son Goku is his earth name but I have a feeling that Akira gave him that name because Goku was basically his son aside from his irl children. May my thoughts and prayers be with his family always.

i wish everyone could appreciate how beautifully the dub and sub were done.

The sound gets clearer and clearer as he gets closer to mastering ultra instinct

When goku was doing the divine Kamehameha on kefla his voice is crazy! And I turn my volume all the way up in my head phone and that demon roar bass is amazingly legendary

His roar when he powers up in front of Kefla is probably my favorite.

Goku sounds demonic as he roars but in the japanese version its more calmer and more angelic and has a lil tone to it

I love how they overlay the same roar but with a lowe pitch and crank the bass and echo. Makes it sound almost monstrous
