The repurposing of “The Honoured One” quote here is really cool. Originally it was a silent declaration Satarou made in a moment of realisation, almost like finally understanding a riddle or finding that missing puzzle piece. Where as in the battle here, he exclaims it with pride. Almost like he’s reaffirming a fact and telling Makima, he can’t be controlled.

If we wanna say that's how Unlimited void affects Makima (arguable sense technically he is "granting" the target 'everything', they just can't do anything with all of it, as he says when he first explains Unlimited void, but i digress-), he could make a 0.1 unlimited void, enough exposure to incapacitate her and have plenty enough time for a hallow purple. Last time he did it in a crowded place the bystanders where said to all recover from it; it would realistically cause casualties still, other nations would need to help, but definitely not as bad as having every citizen indefinitely comatose.

The Shibuya arc shows he is willing, He tries minimizing casualties as much as possible but if he knows there's absolutely no other way he will go for it while trying to come up with new ideas to mitigate the casualties as much as possible. He hesitates a little, but he's self aware and focused enough to know when casualties are inevitable. Keep in mind he didn't go all out in the shibuya incident among civilians because he still had good reasons to believe he could easily defeat the curses without having to go all out and hurt civilians. (If they posed a more serious threat, he would've likely decided there was no choice but to go all out. He doesn't exactly have a code, winning will still be more important to him, even if slightly. But even when he started feeling some pressure in the shibuya incident, like i mentioned in my reply here to the original comment- he invented a method to exert his domain expansion in a more controlled manner while accepting the risks of potentially still affecting civilians with his new 0.1 unlimited void. He came up with that on the spot as a compromise, and had no idea if all civilians would have recover without any lasting damage.)

They utterly nailed Gojo's expression of utter shock and disbelief when Makima got through his Limitless. He believed himself so invincible that that couldn't happen, and you can see it on his face. That clearly prompts him to stop screwing around and get serious.

When fighting someone she wants to control, especially a strong someone, she gets them to their knees in order to express her dominance, then kill them. She took off Reze’s arm, and then held the other arm as she bled out. Quanxi begged for her girls to be set free, and Makima simply shot back the “A corpse is talking” line before decapitating her. She tore out Pochita’s heart while keeping it connected to the body when he was in Denji form, explained her views on what Chainsaw Man should be, and then separated the heart from the body. Makima would very happily take the chance to shoot “The Strongest” down to his knees and then deliver a cool one liner before killing him, but Gojo would never let her get past the one liner once he realized how easily he could die.

One part of this fight I love, in the infinite void the last thing Makima saw was her greatest fear: a world beyond her control.

If you check frame by frame theres a bunch of memes in that part with the Infinite Void domain I saw Jo (Gojo's lower half) in one

Well the one against the Darkness Devil, worked instantly and pierced through its own spatial barrier. So there is no problem at all for Makima. Since the rest of her abilities don’t travel, sacrificial ability and staring ability. Infinity only detects something by shape, mass or speed, if all of that isn’t present Infinity will be pierced. And since there is no cursed energy that would heavily limit Makima’s ability. She is able to spam them like hell. I really can’t see how Gojo is gonna rct an endless amount of pointing and staring from Makima, which cause direct damage inside the target. Also the argument „the body is like a domain“ is bs, because otherwise Gojo wouldn’t be sliced by Sukunas enhanced Dismantle anyway. Since Domain barriers can easily be destroyed from the outside. Makima’s ability hit Gojo nonetheless.

Even Gojo is not serious but his still the strongest sorcerers Cuz his always so calm everytime when something dangerous happens even when someone is trying to fight him. But it's not gonna last :)

it's not fear, it's how she views herself. She's the fear of Control, Conquest, and Domination (Pretty much the same thing, just different wordings) I'm not sure why they made Makima stall her attacks and use her Chains as a restraint, she has no reason to not end the fight as soon as possible, She has no reason to fear Gojo (She sees all humans has Dogs, and Gojo is human) she has no reason to be scared in general. In the manga, when she used her 1000 years attack, she instantly fired it off. It didn't need to be charged, and she didn't stall it to laugh. Gojo was barely healing, and it would have taken the last of Pochita Chainsaw Man's strength to avoid it when he was in the same Situation Gojo was, but Gojo wasn't avoiding it period. When she has those chains in you, that means she sees herself as stronger then you, the only mfs in JJK with an automatic RCT is Hakari and Kashimo, Gojo conciously uses RCT since he rarely ever sleeps and doesn't need sleep, and when he does sleep you can count his RCT as "Sleeping with one eye open" so he can keep Infinity Active (That Toji trauma is hitting hard) him refreshing his brain wont save him either, as Makima's power is Absolute Domination, the moment those chains are attached to you, you pretty much become a Mindless Zombie (Just look at the way anyone in Chainsaw Man looks when they're attached to that chain, no thoughts, only moving when Makima wants them to) also, she had a Solid 8 seconds to fire off her attack, but for some dumbass reason she was listening to Gojo's speech. Oh and I say Gojo doesn't have an automatic RCT because he got cut in half, and didn't automatically Regenerate despite his brain and heart still being good (Hakari got his brain destroyed, and he still came back from it because of how much CE he was receiving from hitting the jackpot from his Domain expansion, and Kashimo automatically healed with a RCT thanks to his CT. Yuta has more CE then Gojo does, but doesn't have an automatic RCT)

The only limit on hollow purple is the time it takes to be prepared. Gojo’s domain expansion can temporarily stun multiple enemies and his massive amounts of cursed energy means he can spam both. Even when surrounded by civilians and hence unwilling to use blue, red and purple. He is able to exorcise over 1000 transfigured humans (roughly equivalent to low level devils/ friends in CSM) in 299 seconds with just his domain expansion and strength alone.

The damage is redirected AFTER she takes it though. So it would hit ONLY HER, and then the damage it deals to her would be redirected to a random japanese citizen after a short delay.

@@notme3603 i did not know that, interesting. How long does the "sure hit" effect last after the domain is dismissed? Is there a time limit? Because Makima's contract seems to be more of a redirect-to-heal rather than redirect-to-negate. Kishibe mentioned that her attempts of healing herself while Denji was slowly cooking and eating her were causing civilian deaths even days after her initial "death", until Denji finished eating her to kill her for good.

The subordinate of her subordinate can operate and fight under infinite knowledge. As in, Gojo's exact Domain effect is just a mid-tier's ability in Chainsaw Man. Assuming it would do anything noteworthy to the even higher-tier devil that fodderizes Halloween is kinda silly if you think about it. Not to mention how he even does that, considering healing your brain has zero effect on the metaphysical concepts. It's not like she's using a virus or anything you could actually heal from. He'd never escape her control in the first place.

The "sure hit" effect makes sure your technique lands, in Gojo's case his technique is "Infinity" so the enemy gets hit by it and has infinite information entering their brains. Now depending on who you are and how long his domain lasts the effect of the technique can vary. It can either render you a vegetable for a short period or for your entire life, but we've also seen it actually "fry" someone's brain and cause physical damage so i'll assume long enough exposure can just kill you on the spot. So Gojo's "sure hit" can last as long as he wants basically. Another example of a technique which can similarly permanently damage but not kill you is Mahito's "Self-Embodiment of Perfection". His technique allows him to alter someone's soul and therefore physicality by touching them, and his domain basically makes it so that if you're caught in it he doesn't need to physically touch you. He can choose to either kill you on the spot or turn you into a grotesque abomination for the rest of your pitiful existence. It's important to note that having a deep understanding of the soul and your own self makes you more resilient against this technique, but the "sure hit" effect will bypass that. So the "sure hit" lasts only for the duration and within the range of the Domain Expansion, but whether the technique affects you afterwards depends on the technique itself. I think Makima's contract would apply for Gojo's Domain since her brain would be damaged by the information overload after only like 6 seconds of being exposed to it, but Mahito's Domain would probably permanently render her useless and her contract would be null since his technique doesn't damage you.

Definitely the highlight of this ep for me. From her deadpan performance she gave at the start of the match, to her maniacal laugh after presuming she won, to her poor little whimpering when getting outclassed, to her ultimate death cry. I was rooting for goho because I hated Makima but I cannot lie I felt a little bad for her because of how good the va was. I think I would've watched chainsaw man if that was her eng voice actor.

I have no idea about any of these two characters outside of this video, but I'm absolutely floored at Gojo's HUGE audacity to not only steal Makima's popcorn, but sit next to her very casually saying that he needs to kill her, I can't with this guy 🤣!

Makima’s key failure here was that she NEEDED to show her dominance. She couldn’t just kill Gojo with finger guns, which she had the ability too, she had to show, even just to herself, that she could control ANYONE

Also Makima hasnt been shown transfering multiple instances of regeneration to a group of people, it always has been 1 person at a time so she would need to transfer it to 1 japanese citizen at a time until it would hit gojo

MANGA SPOILERS: makima’s bang shouldn’t have bypassed infinity, if you look at how she killed power in the manga, it left a crater in the wall after it went through her, meaning it is some sort of “thing” that can be stopped, not placement of wounds if that makes sense.

Something cool to think about: Makima has a pact that a random Japanese citizen will take the damage if she receives fatal wounds. However, as a special grade sorcerer, Gojo has the ability to destroy an entire country by himself. Thus, the end result still checks out.
