They are so fucking good. Professionals. “Are you with us!” I love the fact that in the second act of this song, the slowing down of the snare is the only change, but it means everything. And in the third act, the simplest guitar notes create a Wild West feel... just amazing. This song has become one of my all time favorites. So yes, this is a great song.

I think its time that you see them live my guy. your time has come

Easily one of the best bands ever. You mention their timing is perfect with each other and their breakdowns are insane. If a band put 100% into each song it would be Gojira and if you haven't heard a song the best way to explain it is you don't know what to expect during a song because they change it up so good. I could listen to them all day and I'm 56 years old.. their music don't get old.

The first time i heard these guys was live at a Slayer concert back in 2013, they opened up for them. I never heard about the band, i never listened to a single song. I had no idea what i was in for. The second they started playing i was pulled in a trance the entire show, i didnt head bang, i didnt mosh, i just looked up at them and listened to everything they dished out, it was a truly mesmerizing experiance. I would do anything to have that feeling again of listening to them for the first time. That moment i became a die hard fan. Gojira changed my life forever.

The melodic change-up after the fast double bass part in the middle gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Beautiful songwriting. It's just so powerful, it almost moves you to tears, especially with The Gift of Guilt. Dude, try Gojira - Rememberence (The Link Alive). It's on youtube. Live performance from their early years when they were super death metal (Morbid Angel/Death style) and it'll blow your damn head off, and possibly cause a heart attack LOL. These guys are straight up BEASTS live. so much practice and focus put into every inch of their music. You should check out some of Mario's drum solos during these gigs. The guy is mind-boggling lol.

Lee Brennan Morbid Angel is one of my all time favorite death metal bands and you can tell they had a HUGE influence on Gojira. One of many reason I love this band. This band is beyond next level🤘

I feel the same way my man. Flawless. I can’t believe I didn’t discover them until this year but even then, I’m glad I did because it has changed the way my brain works when it comes to music and they have such a great library of music to enjoy now. Probably my favorite metal/rock band, hands down.

So funny story, I had just seen Gojira live for the first time recently. And I was at this cidery and ran into a couple who were at the same show I was. And they seemed super underwhelmed by the show they put on, but imo Gojira killed it. Sure, I'd have preferred they play older songs to their new stuff, but this is the Fortitude tour we're talking. They have to play the new stuff, that's the whole point. Anyway, the point is, I wish that couple had been more like you guys. They put on a hell of a show, and to see these snobs denying it left a bad taste in my mouth. Moral of the story, if you get the opportunity to see them live, TAKE IT. Their live music sounds studio quality. They are masters of the craft. And if you're ever in Rochester, NY, hit me up. I'll buy you a beer.

these guys are fucking legendary live. they were my second concert ever and bro it fucking both threw me out of my socks, then proceeded to fuck my socks right up. the clearest cleanest sounding music you can get live.

I’ve seen them Live TWICE; Asheville NC...it’s pure power, emotion, and connection. This is brilliance. Their live performances are unparalleled in positive energy.

CYBER DEMON What’s up man! This band is no joke they’re for real. It’s not only Just their guitar tone it’s the way they found a new innovative approach to this genre of music. You can hear certain elements from the genre but they have taken it and completely flipped it and found a new way to make this sound/genre new again. that’s one of the many aspects I get from this band. Than you have Mario who’s is absolutely phenomenal behind the kit. He’s one of the best to ever do it hands down. And Joe is not only locked in on guitar but his vocal abilities along with his lyricism. This band has it all. Just like another certain band that’s F - N been destroying me with this new album. Dylan Caldwell oh yea for sure, I added a Gojira radio station to my Pandora, the music itself is incredible. The issue I’ve always had is getting over the hump when the vocals are more growling than singing. I enjoy a good scream as much as the next guy, but I prefer melody in the vocals more than an all out brutal assault. I’m taking them in small doses and seeing where it leads, same for Jinjer.

Brother, let me tell ya... I’m 37, huge music fan period but I play music and have been for 30yrs now... although my main music preferences vary, I’m a huge metalhead. Been listening to Gojira since ‘04, so glad they are becoming a bigger voice in metal and super happy you discovered them. They really do deserve tons of respect and attention, they are a truly unique voice in metal. I’ve always described them to people as ‘What if Tool was a heavy metal band?’ And my answer is Gojira hahaha So happy I’m around and have seen them live 4x now, would’ve been 5 but that’s a whole other story... keep rockin bro, can’t wait to hear the new Tool tracks

i don’t really think people understand truly how influential gojira has been for metal . if there was a heavy metal metalica it’d be gojira . their longevity and influence across the genre will be spoken to for decades .

They played this so much faster live than on the record, I actually think it loses something like this. Check out the studio version; it's crushing!

The ending of "Indians" is straight up one of the most brutal things on earth. One of the most creative breakdowns I know of.

If more modern metal bands discovered the way to sound in composition to the 80’s era tricks we would have more delicious metal available

The best part of this show was that it was like £5 (or $7) along with 3 other bands including Feed the Rhino, The Defiled and Ghost who were the actual headliners. One of the best shows I ever went to. ❤️
