well , i'm french and i can tell you that during that time if i remember correctly they were a french band only , they played mainly in france , i think it was when they released " from mars to sirius " that they started to play overseas . but yeah it was a good time.

Yeah man someone told me this show is actually from 2003! Just imagine being on of those kids like yep, I was there! To me it’s like wondering what it must’ve been like to be there when Metallica was 1st starting out can only imagine. But at least we have this insane performance to get a feel of what it was like

And if you do the music video, which is a piece of art in stop motion, beware the song is edited, shortened. Better do the album version, or this live version. But their old music videos of that time, directed by their uncle (who is director of photography in film industry) are both really beautiful, and a must see.

Pretty impressive if you ask me. BTW fun fact, when they first made the band Christian (guitar) and Jean-Michel (bass) proposed Mario as drummer but Joe didn't want him, said he was too young. It's only because they found no one else that we got Mario now.

@@sedated_ape Sure thing. Your best bet would be to watch their live set Rockpalast 2019. The thing with Meshuggah for me is that i do not listen to their songs a lot, but when it comes to live performance, they just blow me away. However, if you dont have time i'd recommend: - Clockworks - Stengah - Lethargica - Future breed machine Also, i kind of agree with the singer, hes not that special, but it suits their music. Anyways, have a good listen, hopefully you'll find something that you like.

Yeah, Meshuggah probably are less enjoyable than Gojira in the way Gojira made more "normal" songs, Meshuggah create his own style and they in fact are a big influence in Gojira, you need to listen more Meshuggah, try with the albums Destroy Erase Improve, Chaosphere and Nothing, in that order, to note the evolution, from Nothing to present I feel they found his style and the albums are more monotonous each other but they are changing a bit anyway always, but never too notorius than the three albums I mentioned

To put your minds and hearts at ease, they don't play this song live anymore. But once in a while they'll play the breakdown at the end in the middle of their set.

I'we been requesting this song a few times.. glad to see you finally did it! :D Another great song from this gigg is ''In the Forest'', that song is somewhat simular to Rememberance (tight AF) check it out when you have the time! Great reaction \m/
